    Wtf is this balancing - Shinobi overnerfed !!

    Hello,

    Been an avid player of For Honor since release. I played a decent amount of time, got to rep 100, 70 of which are SHINOBI REP. As you guessed, I tried a little the other character, but they are not fun to me. Only the Shinobi is fun to play.

    This patch gutted the Shinobi to the ground !!

    Shinobi wasn't even a top "S tier" hero, yet he got nerfed incredibly hard to a point he is unplayable. I can't seem to dodge attacks like I used to, backflip is super short for some weird reason, all the hyper armor are gone which means the funky timing of some other heroes (AHEM KENSEI !!) can't be traded with anymore (I know, it's not a favorable trade, but it still happens often in my matches), etc.

    In its current state, Shinobi is unplayable. Way too squishy, not enough stamina, etc. The ONLY THING Ubisoft had to nerf was the sickle rain 100 % - 0 % stun. That's it. Some argue Shinobi had some very safe move ... so does half the cast !! Beside, Shinobi has some of the worst feats in the game and absolute garbage when it comes to perks.

    And don't get me started on the revenge buff they did. Shinobi's strength was to come assist your teamate with a well timed ranged GB. Now, the game register your opponent as being into a 2v1 and he gets +70% revenge. In short, if you ranged GB your opponent and he's above half health when you do, you can be sure he'll proc revenge and you "assisting" your teamate will often end up killing him because you "outplayed" your opponent with a perfectly timed ranged GB that gave him revenge.

    Nerfs after nerfs after nerfs, while other characters are buffed buffed buffed. Shinobi is not fun anymore.

    I dont understand what's going through the Dev's mind when balancing this game. It's frustrating to the player base. You are not selling more steel right or year passes right now. Why the hell are you nerf some characters to the ground and over buffing others.

    Do you damn job Ubisoft, a 5th grader with decent math grade would do better at balancing this game. I don't plan on playing other character ... so don't take your usual 6 months fixing this mess.

    I will add that his backflip is shorter but is considered a Dodge I believe

    Yep, after one very painful evening, I'm done. See you on next balance patch involving Shinobi. Worthless balancing team.

    I wouldn't call a ranged gb in a gank situation for guaranteed kill with no risk involved outplaying your opponent. That thing is still a safe ganktool, just less braindead now that it won't beat revenge.

    He might suck in 1v1, I give that to you. They seemingly have no idea what to do with some assassins.

    Well, he still has some of the highest damage numbers and parry punishes, safe optionselects and ways to punish any bash with the kick. Defensively, he is still one of the bests, so despite his non existing offense, I wouldn't say he is obviously weak in 1v1. He can't really kill you if you don't want to risk attacking him, but that goes both ways: you can't really kill him if he is turtling.

    It is when your opponent is aware of your presence and still let himself be caugh in a ranged guardbreak during his recovery frames. Good opponent will either feint + counter you or just stay on the defensive until they get revenge.

    And like I said, the problem is with the recent revenge boost in 1vX situations. Shinobi can't gank like he used to because revenge is being fed much faster than before in 1vX situation to a point if the Shinobi lands his ranged GB on a opponent already into a 1v1 and that opponent was above 50% health, the Shinobi wont be able to get a kill most of the time out of that gank ... he'll instead proc his opponent revenge who in return might kill who he was in 1v1 with to begin with. As a result, the Shinobi gets a "Well thank you for nothing worthless Shinobi ally !!" while in reality, the Shinobi outplayed the opponent with a successful ranged GB.

    Nothing I hate more than throwing a successful ranged GB that immediatly procs your opponent revenge and for some reason, the game doesn't register you trying to cancel your sickle rain. As a result, the Shinobi gets thrown on the ground next to a revenged opponent. Depending on the opponent, some in revenge are well able to deal (with revenge buff) over 110 hp to the Shinobi on the ground. So thank you Ubisoft for creating a situation where the Shinobi landing a successful ranged GB actually DIES FROM IT.

    I always thought that is feintable, though up until now, it did not let the opponent canceling it with revenge.

    The same punish for outplaying thing might happen to you too. Bulwark countering an opponent in revenge, for example, takes you to the ground too. Revenge should have a totally different mechanic or Ubi should take it out in favour of other tools. For some like raider, its a godmode, and for some like pk it barely does anything.
