It doesn't work. You made them susceptible to maybe 1 out of every 10 heavy feints, of course that data is only pulled from level 3 bots since for some unknown reason, that is all that get put into games now. Level 3 bots are awful, they parry light openers on reaction, perfect counter and max punish everything you do, and only can be countered when they go on the offensive and sometimes not even then. They are also prone to cheating, such as parrying light attacks that follow a bash or magically making a move undodgeable. Really you shouldn't have to fight level 3 bots unless you yourself make the decision to.
As for why all level 3 bots spawn all the time? Heck if i know, I'm no top 1% player so it can't be based off of my skill, it doesn't seem intentional though. Sometimes you get level 2's and it becomes playable, but that seems rare now. Seriously though these bots play better than 90% of the players I go up against, the other 10% have like 50-70 reps on their characters and are just stupid good at the game. And even then I would take them over the bots.
Long short of it though, I don't notice much of a difference in how they react. Every now and then they throw a heavy when you feint, but that's about it, its not really common or noticeable.
At first i thought my skill went up or something. But then i see everybody complaining about lv3 bots showing up when someone quits.
I guess they wanted to not make it an insta-loss when someone quits. Lv2 bots were pretty easy, but these lv3's...
I mean today on Dom, both teams were breaking. We killed all 3 human players using feats and all 4 of us were still standing with full health. Then one lone wolf male Jormangundr bot showed up late for the party and you should have seen it. We ganked it 4v1 and the thing triggered revenge like 5 times. Parried most our lights, constantly feinting all over the place. Threw all 4 of us into walls. All the while screaming his lungs out. The Raider on our team seemed to be his prefered target lmao. The raider got the **** kicked out of him and then he turned to Glad who he also killed. I've never seen that kind of agression in this game. Then i thought he was gonna kill me, but thankfully our PK got an execution on him from behind as i was about to die.
It was kinda fun, but also ridiculous. I prefer lv2 bots.
Yep the AI is nuts. Across the board, the AI can react perfectly to light attacks, 100% bash dodges, executing feint mixups and chains frequently and reliably that real people couldn't pull off with such consistency if at all, and perfectly coordinate now when 2 or more attack you. It's just not simulating fighting a tough opponent, its perfect in too many areas. That isn't a mark of good AI, since its relatively easy to make AI react to anything thrown at it perfectly, and their reaction times are much faster than humans. The skill is in making an AI that simulates human imperfection and play.
I somewhat agree. But it's more annoying when bots block everything in existence. This suck to play a character who mostly has light attacks. When you go for a unblockable, they just dodge it and are almost unable to be guardbroken. And when you're fighting them, in mid-fight, they'll stop to run off just as you're about to start attacking. This makes revenge useless and the revenge feat as they will just run off or block everything the whole time. They make assassins unplayable since they block everything/turtle, or just wait for you to attack so your guard is open, and assassins can't afford to be treated like that. No matter how fast a light is, they just block it. That's why I wish Punch Through was its older self because it wasn't useless. You really shouldn't have to play a character who has nothing but unblockable to spam or be anyone and have to GB them just to get a hit off just for the game to go "smooth and normally". (Edited)
