    Staff Picks - August 2

    Greetings Riders,

Friday is finally upon us, that means it's time to share some of our favorite creations from you, the community. Check out this week's picks below!

    SHOGUN'S PICKS

    Name: Cyan-Dots
    Creator: matlan123
Parts Available: Bodykit, Front Fender, Headlight & Frame

Sometimes it doesn’t take hundreds of stickers to create a nice looking bike design. Cyan-Dots is beautiful in it’s simplicity and it’s not matlan123’s only solid bike design. I like the colors here but if it’s not your style matlan123 has a number of very nice, clean Mantis designs to check out.

    Track: 404 Mt Hekla
    Creator: Twist_404
    Mode: Trials
    Difficulty: Medium

I’m always excited to play a new Twist track and Mt. Hekla did not disappoint. The sense of height as you make your way across this mountaintop Trials course is very well done giving the entire track an incredible feeling of danger. The simple yet beautiful theme is accompanied by an enjoyable line that features some killer timesavers. And even with a fairly sparse backdrop consisting primarily of clouds and mountains in the distance, Twist still manages to fit in some epic background action. Quality work all around, a must play TC creation.

    Track: Trials of Old
    Creator: OLD_RockMan
    Mode: Trials
    Difficulty: Medium

We’ve seen more than a few remakes of Trials HD tracks in Trials Rising. In most cases builders aim to recreate Trials HD lines while giving them Trials Rising quality decoration. OLD RockMan has taken a different approach, opting to instead create a new track with a classic Trials HD feel. And he’s done an excellent job. Not only does this track visually look like Trials HD but this feel like a Trials HD line. Of course there’s some extra features here as well. Trials HD tracks didn’t have NPCs or decals to help them come to life, for example. The track also has a hidden driveline that was a fun challenge to access and features a quality custom squirrel to collect. Of all the homages to HD I’ve played in Rising this one may have taken me back to the game where it all started for me more than any other.

Trials Rising: Track Central Thursdays #21
    By: Oregon Pacifist

Oregon Pacifist, or OP as I like to call him, has been around the Trials community for a lot of years creating quality custom tracks. Now he’s also sharing weekly Track Central videos to his YouTube channel. I like that in his videos OP doesn’t just play the best tracks, he tries a good selection of tracks from builders of all skill levels. He even occasionally sprinkles in some building tips for his viewers. And it’s not just about the tracks, some of these reactions to amazing or possibly questionable creative decisions are priceless.

*Note: We finalize our weekly Staff Picks a couple days before the article goes live so by the time this article is out episode 22 is probably up on his channel. Go check it out!

    DOC'S PICK

    Track: [QDB] Jufacy
    Creator: Quidebie
    Mode: Trials
    Difficulty: Hard

Quidebie is back again with their latest track, [QDB] Jufacy. I had fun playing this level during last Wednesday’s Diggin with the Doc Steam. The design and drive line of the track are well made, plus there’s a fun little secret for all you explorer types at the beginning of the track

Did we miss anything you feel should be featured? Let us know in the comments below! Also, don’t forget to keep your eyes on our Twitter for all game news and announcements.

Glad you enjoyed my track. I had fun building it. Trials HD is where it all began for me as well. The squirrel collectable was added later. The early concept had a key to collect, but I figured a squirrel would better fit the classic theme.

You were right Shogun, the squirrel is made of primes with the decal on them. 😁
