N-o-t-h-i-n-g.

I was defending the Devs over their silence, I knew that they would need time to sort out the Feedback after OTTs, implement stuff and do their job as good as possible. There is not too much time to spend on the vocal minority of Forums and Reddit. I know this. But with the community pi**ed off that hard and if we assume that the PvP-Build on gamescom is pretty damn close to the Beta, I think it is time for the Devs (or Community Reps) to step out of the Shadows of Silence and tell us what is going on and why things are going on.

it would be okay to say: "Guys, we are working hard on your points and we cannot wait to show you the beta!". But not even that. Silence. Simple silence. I hope that they will get their voice back after gamescom. The lack of communication at this critical part of the development is .... it makes me fear of the game in all honestly. Not because I want to bash it. But because I want to love it. I want it to be great and striving and having a good, healthy community. i want a nice tacticool experience.
Not a single person from (arguably) 1000-guys-Dev-Team has to say something? To calm the community down a bit? To say why things the way they are? Ehmm.... we are around 5-6 Weeks from launch and things getting heated up. Maybe it is the right time to address some criticism. Just sayin'.
This ^^^^ Communication is a must at this point in the development cycle especially with how close we are to launch. I agree with him when he says he wants it to do well, I do too. Thats the reason I've been vocal on these forums. I've grown to love this series after many years of playing it and hope it continues but with a lack of anything from anyone there at Ubi, it's starting to get a little skeptical.

Call of duty don't even have a dedicated forum, they use Reddit for Christ sake and they have been so active answering questions, informing us that our concerns have gone noticed and will be dealt with, and it's a bloody breath of fresh air. I can't believe I'm siding with call of duty over ghost recon. But this game and it's communication with its player base it's absolutely discraceful. I sincerely hope this game fails and they just shut the ghost recon series down because what they're doing to the franchise and how they're treating their long time fans is discusting. What a **** show.
I hope CoD works out for you. You have the right attitude to fit in well with a lot of the PvP community on that game.

You know I'm right that's why you post a vague attempt at a witty comment that you think will save you.

You constantly side with Ubisoft giving them the benefit of the doubt. It's really sad. You have some sort of power to let them know they aren't doing things right.. but you just blow them hoping they keep you in their good books. Sellout.

I left these forums weeks ago, easily over a month, dissapointed at the lack of news or communication from UBI about our concerns. I came back in hope that some things had changed.. not a single thing has.

Infinity ward have maybe commented over 100 times on Reddit to the community in the space of a week. It took UBI weeks and weeks and they came out with DELTA company. Pathetic. They have a forum here readily available with tons of info and feedback for them. What's stopping them answering us on here?

I do share his sentiment about the lack of communication from Ubi about this game though. If you think about it though... it does kind of stand out when a developer makes an effort to answer questions/discussions on a 3rd party site like Reddit when we have dedicated forums here and cannot get a single peep from a dev about anything at all.

Yeah, I haven't criticised anything they've done on Breakpoint except

    The AI squad being removed
    Enemy levels and health bars
    The progression system
    Tiered weapons
    The reduction in Gunsmith functionality
    The recent adverts with cartoons
    No offline mode
    PvP player count
The styling of the SCZ in Ghost Wars
    The cloaking spray

    ... and OTT stuff.

And in this thread I agreed with the OP that communication could be better. Like I said, go and enjoy CoD, I hope it works out.

I answered the specific point that "nothing" had been said by listing things that had been, which then prompted the attack.

Not a single peep, even though this morning I put up a link to the Game Director fior Ghost War, the lead Dev, giving a whole load of info and views, just last week. We have also had a good discussion on the animations based on the Devs telling us how they did it.

None of that answers our concerns though.. Are they really blindsiding you that much?

I don't care how they did 'something', I care what they're doing to the 'something' they clearly messed up. (Based on the majority of people's views on this very forum)

Of all those things you say you have disagreed with or 'criticized', how many of them concerns can you say you have had sufficient info from UBI that makes you understand why they have done what they have done, or are reviewing to implement better? (Bar the AI teammates, which they will just copy paste the majority of it straight from the dumb wildlands AI)

P.s. I won't accept anything other than NONE as an answer.

In tems of publisher engagement, i think ubisoft does it better than most. I'm not saying they are perfect, but we are pretty spoiled all things considered.

I really think you guys take all this waaayyyy to seriously. Get some perspective on gaming and your life.

" Oh, im going to COD because UBI sucks. No UBI doesnt suck,,, you just have attitude, nah nah nah." and on and on.

Buy both games and kick some arse. Daddy's little six year olds have all grown up. Seriously?

Yeah I thought that too. They became much better (specially with the release and constant updates to other/older games like R6, TD1 and so on). But still: What the hell happened to the Community-Guys from Ubi? That close too Beta and still the community is not getting any answers at all. Sure, we got a nice little interview with one Dev on a certain gamemode. But that addresses not the huge amount of questions and concerns the community obviously has. They are completely avoiding any real / helpful information.

The only reason could be, that they are trying to fix as much as possible before the beta to calm down the community. It might be their last chance to get to peace with the core community and maybe they don't want to tell anything until it is done and ready to show (like the awful animations, the lackluster sound, tiered loot etc.) Still not very cool for us. I simply hope for the best and the beta...
