Agreed. Definitely want to know at least the first 2 of your questions at Gamescom.

#3 is important if they want to maintain a player-base for the newcomers that is learning. We wouldn't want to run them away.

#4 I really don't see them answering this. More like you have to wait and see. The Ultimate Edition gear that you don't get right off the back with the other editions could be a sign. However, TD2 actually allow you to unlock all cosmetics through crates (if you lucky). As long as you got patience it may come eventually but that's a lot of grinding.

Communication is in great need of improvement on many different fronts.

For example, in my OTT AAR, an admin came in, asked me a question, then never returned to find the answer or elaborate as per my counter question. Remember, they asked me, not I them. What's the purpose of that? To show their presence as if they are concerned or helping, instead of when it's really needed?

Let's forget about the whining and complaining part of things for a moment. Communication is nothing if it's only one sided. Their involvement and participation is important to address the real concerns, good questions and feedback, AND the constructive criticism. There should be more of that type of presence from them, and less the type of presence when someone says something nice or fanboy-ish in a post or thread, which seems to draw Ubisoft in like it's their Bat-signal. Remember, the Bat-signal was there to alert Batman that his help was required, not to summon him to tell him that his cape looked good. They have it a bit backwards.

I'd wager that if they were more involved with the questions and feedback and concerns, then there'd be less complaining. A lot of complaints seem to come from frustration, or are a symptom of frustration.

It's like my journey to get my TD2 connection issues resolved. If they were active on their end to do some troubleshooting, I'd have less questions on my end, and I'd spend less time trying to figure out things on my own. Without their involvement and participation, we're just learning to Tango on our own, half the time stepping on our own toes.

    Yes. These are important questions.

Two pillars behind the success of Wildlands that are super important to Breakpoint customers are the gunsmith and character customization. For example, what starting cosmetics options do we have? Can we equip just one primary? Can we not equip a backpack? Can we put the laser on the top rail? Can we put a high magnification optic on an AR?

I’ve not seen much at all from Ubisoft on these types of topics which are near and dear to Wildlands fans hearts. The only info we have are leaks from the OTT which are no indication of the final product.

And there’s been very little information on what impact enemy and gear levels have.

Nor has anything been shared on what character progression looks like... what are the different class skill trees? Are stupid skills like Advanced Suppressor making a come-back?

For someone seeking realism, these are super important things to know.

I’m afraid the lack of information on these topics is because there’s not much good news to hype here or we would already know.

Just the 1st question alone, 1 month until the beta, 2 months until release and they still cannot confirm that. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be peer to peer again. Another laggy paradise. Idk if anyone still play wildlands PVP but the lag switching is more and more insane, with the lag mostly come from china (not surprised).

I do understand the frustration you have, but regarding PvP, we will have more reveals about it during Gamescom. However, players won't be punished in PvP for having a lower level or gear.

I know this does not answer your questions, but we will soon.

First, thank you for your response. It is nice to get even partial answers to those questions. What baffles me personally is why you would wait until just a week and a half before the Beta drops to answer the PvP questions. Maybe there are some marketing secrets that I don't understand, but it seems to me that the more info that is out there the more(possibly) pre-orders you would get.

To the above list I would like to add:
    5) How robust will gunsmith be? How much will we be able to modify and customize weapons?

I wish I could share more with you at this point, but many teams are involved in the development and publishing of a game on this scale. From our side, the community team, part of our job is to try and influence the communication based on the community and provide specific community requested articles/info. So we are working on that, and soon we can share more with you guys.

And noted for the gunsmith and weapon customisation.

Thank you for your time and response .

Once again, thank you for your response. I totally get that publishing a game of this magnitude is a complicated affair, and I'm really sympathetic to that. As I've said elsewhere I personally really like what I see, and having been in OTT a lot of those questions are at least partially answered for me. Personally I think you have a great product. My frustration, personally, lies in the belief that the marketing of that great product seems be hurt by a lack of communication. Again, I'm not expert in marketing, but that is the feeling I get when I'm on these forums.

I also understand that you CMs can't give us anything that you have not gotten from above and that you are unenviable position of trying to negotiate on behalf of both the community and the Devs. I'm impressed by how good of a job you CMs do and thank you for your efforts.
