I get flashbacks from the Wildlands release here. I do not know what the problem is with the current model of communication but it must be improved in a big way. Mercenaries mode hit us with a days warning. A day. No build-up, no hype, no attempts to anchor the gamemode with the community. Just drop it. The community game nights are a step in the right direction but they not rarely drop any news or use it to gauge the community reactions.
Here is the thing: Most things in Ghost Recon so far have only been controversies due to Ubisofts lack of communication. Usually, answers are in one-sentence lines only. This was true in Wildlands. It looks like its going to be true in Breakpoint. Just explain things and why you do them your way. I promise you the community will have your back - look at Rainbow Six Siege. The decisions put forth by their comm dev team is not always popular but they are explained and anchored in the community so they comm dev teams are respected in turn. There is no way you cannot do the same thing, esp not with the Delta Operators program able to give you a lot more detailed on the grounds feedback.
So please, start talking to us. The community is your asset. We are the ones who will be playing the game, streaming it, encouraging friends to get it - if the game is good enough.
I guess they will give us answers very soon. But you have to understand that the second Test is just over and Feedback was given and now needs to be collected and addressed. That takes a bit of time. But I would assume that we'll have answers within 14 days, maybe even next week. And obviously they will have to answer a b*ttload of stuff, given the state and design ideas that was provided by Breakpoint. And don't forget that gamescom is only 3 weeks away. There we'll get some more information and the latest build will be shown.
I haven't seen a question of ours answered since e3, and that was the first and only time they've addressed our concerns. And they only spoke to one issue, vaguely saying the feature would come 'post-launch'.
Not good enough if you want us to buy your game.
I canceled my pre order and won't be buying the game until more of the communities' concerns get addressed. Currently, the game looks like a spin-off of the Division set in the Terminator universe (sci-fi looter shooter), which NONE OF THE FANS WANTED.
I'm very disappointed with the direction the devs took this franchise. Adding an AI team months after launch isn't enough to bring me back.
I'll be buying Call of Duty instead, because they made an attempt to return to a realistic military theme and will have AI on day one.
Whilst I agree with JonathonRL that communication could improve, we will see more on how Delta Company changes this I guess, it is not true that nothing has been answered since E3. There is a QA with Eric Couzain from 2 weeks after E3 stickied in the forum, we have seen the recent PC customisation video and a whole load of YouTube footage made available. There is also the stickied post asking for questions for Laura Cordrey about Delta (that has hardly any questions in it) not to mention the recent OTT.Originally Posted by friday_mortimer Go to original post
I understand your concerns, share some of them even, but they haven't arisen because you're not informed, more the opposite. I'm not seeing many requests or questions asking for more information, but a whole load demanding justifications for and explanations for the decisions made. What is it they can answer for you, other than the answers you already have, that is making you decide to quit the game? I'm not criticising you, I totally see why you feel the way you do, but I don't think it is more comms that you really want, it is changes.
Back in the day we used to just watch videos, see what system the game is for, and catch interest if we like the game. Now we want answers to everything about the game. How to kill a drone, the TTK per weapon, the number of guns in the game, and so on. The developers really don't have to answer anything. There are many games with forums just like this that doesn't have admins or developers respond to you. I think we got spoil by Ubisoft and they being the adult by throwing shade at you without a response.Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post

1) Will PvP have dedicated servers?
2) Does Ubisoft have a plan to deal with server connection issues that currently plague R6S and TD2?
3) If and how PvP will be balanced for newer players considering unified progression and gear score
4) Will we have the same level of character customization as in GRW or will it be a more TD2 type with paywalls and grinding for cosmetics?
5) How robust will gunsmith be? How much will we be able to modify and customize weapons?
I'm sure there are some other questions outstanding but those seem to me to be pretty fundamental to the game and have not yet been answered.
