    Game needs to be closed in task manager

    First off, I've been away for six months. In that time, I've picked up a brand new computer. Reinstalled the game a few days back, and go figure! The same bug that keeps the game running, even after closing it out 'properly,' is still up and running. I had the exact same issue on my previous computer, and posted a similar bug thread on it. Was told to 'make sure you close the game properly, via the main menu.' I do. I still need to navigate to the task manager and close it out in the process tab. New computer, fresh install, and the same bug is persistent. Is this ever going to be fixed?

    Hey Rhyza.,

    Do you still hear the Main Menu music after you close the game?

    Can you open a support ticket on our website and include your System Files so we can forward them to the team?

    I don't, no. I'll 'quit to desktop,' the game seems to close, yet it's still running in the task bar. It doesn't happen every time, maybe two out of three tries, but it's annoying.

    PC Windows-10 HOME Edition 1903

    Just got the core Standard Edition off EPIC Games free giveaway this week

    I dont hear any music or anything, but go to close UPlay Game Launcher and i get the warning message, Force CLosing will not be good, i look in Task Manager every time For Honor and Anti-Cheat process;s are still running

    The initial problem i noticed was UPLAY is not minimizing to taskbar when game is launched , with no minimize options found in the client, i will close to task bar run the game sometimes the game will close OK and UPLAY appears showing the game can be launched again, if not the blue button is depressed showing the game is running

    Cant launch game without UPLAY, even when using EPIC's client it will auto open UPLAY then i have now 2 clients trying to run the game ....... SIGH

    Latest NVIDIA Driver Universal -- 26.21.14.3168 vr.

    Not a gaming computer , but it is neat to see it running on a 2016 model

    When i read the game is on so many platforms now and debuted 2017 , then i started to worry.

    Game runs fine, no problems , its just that darn closing the game and the game not closing that gets me.

    Installed as Admin, in fact my process for fresh installing Win10 on this pre-built is extensive ....

    No problems running the game, no problems with the current 1907 install.

    Using Classic Shell, but that fixed 1907 problems, didn't break them. I have never had a problem like this with windows-10 since betta 2015, i have seen and gone through Win-10 1503 and above, many problems yes, never seen a game client not open/close a game like this, i have a ton of apps and tried just about everything with windows10

    The ticket number given is 09468378.

    The issue isn't game breaking. It only takes a few seconds for me to go through the process of navigating to task manager and closing the game there. However, it can be tedious.

    Please try reinstalling Easy Anti Cheat. It sounds like the game is going to close, but it can't finish that process. You can also check if running the game as administrator helps and if the antivirus on the PC is blocking EAC or For Honor.

    Did not fix it. Reinstsalled, then repaired, then reinstalled the game as a whole. Issue persists.
