    If I understood it correctly.
    yup you got it.

Fatty, I don't know about high levels, but on my avarage level play, dodge bash is hardly uncounterable.
Lawbringer can be punished with a dodge attack (or bulwark counter) on read if he goes for a dodge bash. Everyone else with side or back dodge bashes eats an even higher punish if it is baited out (conqueror is famously easy to guardbreak on a side dodge bash whiff). The only real exception must be warden, and only with perfect spacing. Dodge bashes are countering tools only slightly better than dodge attacks, they are usually punished if you bait them out.

Conqueror has a very fair optionselect zone. 10 damage for risking a heavy parry or even a deflect/bulwark counter, so not something you would want to spam. Safer ones are pk's or the new black prior zone, though but comes with counters, neither are things you want to use for all your parry attempts, but their existence provide good opportunities.

I don't answer to the lawbringer part since that is completely unrelated to the topic.

It's funny cause up until now I've always taken the term "option select" at its most literal. For example, Kensei throws his top heavy, then from there he can select his option such as Dodging, pummel strike, feinting or soft feinting.

It wasn't until this has been getting discussed more that I realized I was misunderstanding what it ment.

    Lol now I feel silly.

Like seriously tho, what bother me most about this entire thread is how completely lacking the OP is.

I also clearly said dodge bashes are the best DEFENSIVE tool right now - and then some rando comments how easy it is to dodge when he attacks with his amazing dodge bash like wut.

Half the things in the game cover multiple options - some mixups can still be dodged on 1 timing - dodge option select op nerf please. Then it also matters how bad your attack is. Like everything in the game beats Kenseis top heavy into bash/gb mixup because its slow as molasses. You just input anything and you win without having to consider kenseis options (except feint -> parry. But thats the point, nothing covers all options - it simply depends on how many options it covers, what is the cost and what is the payoff, warden backdodge shoulder says hi).

Top light lawbringer is an option select for hito mixup since it just shuts down the kick entirely, please remove that. Pog. Like for real, every fast attack in the game is an option select in one way or another.

Superior lights are option selects because they beat light and heavy without armor.

Hyperarmor heavies are an option select because you either parry or trade.

Empty dodge on deflect characters is an option select depending on how fast the opponents heavies are.

Are we removing half the game then? It really just depends on how good the individual move is. An arbitrary statement like "option selects ruin the game" is basically saying the game ruins the game.

I really need to stop visiting forums again, it just tilts me so hard. -.-

Yes, Fatty, they are defensive tools, which are easy to beat if you know you can bait them out. Feint a heavy-> dodge the bash-> punish.

If you throw out a 500ms superior light on the timing of a light counter and it is a 800ms heavy, that is a trade. A bad one, so it is no counter.

Right i cant possibly see any situation where an armored bash would cover multiple options and could be used as a great defensive tool.

You pointing out A way to beat a great defensive tool nullifies all positives an armored bash could ever have as a defensive option select.

Well played. gg good fight good fight

Yeah, 600ms and deals 10 damage. Really a git gud issue if you can't feint and punish it.
