Truth is that it is too late in my case.Originally Posted by Bone_Frog Go to original post
A part of the problem is that they essentially stall people with their "troubleshooting list". It sends the customer off on those unrelated tasks for such a long time that in some cases, it is too late to do anything about afterwards. And when that list is exhausted, as in my case, they press "restart" and try to get you to do the things on the list yet again. And if you argue with them, they mind-**** you saying that you are not letting them "help" you. Nothing gets resolved and you're SOL, albeit quite mugged off to boot.
As an aside regarding refunds, I remember many posts on the TD2 forums from people requesting refunds. Ubisoft just shrugged their shoulders and passed the buck (while keeping the real buck in their hands) by saying "Go to your vendor." EVEN if people bought it from Ubisoft.
A company or any person needs to take ownership of their own problems, man up, and remedy the situation for the people who are affected. It's how relationships last instead of breaking up.
In my case, if they reached out and removed TD2 from my library, then replaced it with Breakpoint, I'd appreciate the gesture after all the BS and time spent. Maybe I'm dreaming, and someone might say this can't be done, but ANYTHING can be done if the right decision makers are involved. TD2 and Breakpoint are both looter shooters, so even Breakpoint, as it stands, is fine for me because I can at least connect to it so far, that is if they don't change or introduce anything in the retail version that will prevent that.
Until then .. Ubisoft looted me.
Yeah see, that's what I don't understand. They COULD sell this on Brand Rec, and very easily so... but they realize they just hit a wall with the people that bought Wildlands (myself included) because of all the stuff you laid out. They're gonna find out fast Brand Rec only takes you so far, for sure. I was happy about seeing the injury system and methods of entry; EFT and ArmA taught me how fun that kind of complexity can be. That was all I saw, in fact, and then all the news came out about no AI team, tiered loot, gear level, and I turned off like that.Originally Posted by VirtualRain. Go to original post
The point I think this is getting to is, that Ubisoft made a mistake in the very concept of the game. They're trying to mix Division, AC Odyssey, Far Cry, Ghost Recon, and the players are left wondering what the hell this is supposed to be? Realistic military sandbox? Looter shooter? Gear Score game? Overpowered romp? Prospective players are just left confused. It's a sucky state.
Well said. It’s trying to be a jack of all trades, and will end up being a master of none.Originally Posted by AFOXCOM Go to original post
