I don't know where to begin...
First off I want to say FH have seen many quality changes of game stability and other quality of life changes when it comes to non gameplay.
1. It is so clear that the devs don't give two flying F..S about the console community, it is also clear that they have no intention of ever doing so, I mean, after we got "dedicated servers" they put African and some Asian countries on EU, even tho they have higher ping. They promised they would come back to this, they never did, and ignore every mention, question or remark in this regard, well all but one tweet respons from Mr. Data that promised they would look deeper into it, a few months later he quit (Good for him getting away from this game).
2. Balancing, so yeah the team focus on making money and not actual gameplay improvments. to be honest I could write a ****ing 100 paper thesies on all the flaws in Ubisofts attempt to have a unified front and plan to improve the game, but I think they have given up, and now just do **** every now and then (a few changes each 3 months). and to give some examples
- They want to reduce and recoery (they nerf it on a lot of heroes and attacks, but don't touch certian moves on the same hero (that needs a lowering) and they release a new hero with overtuned recovery on some moves (makes no sense). They also have heroes like JJ, LB Shinobi that still has no reocery on anything, and a few things more.
- They say they want to normalise risk/reward. well, then they make reworks like raider, yeah so you can get 15-20 damage or lose 40-50, and it is a pretty braindead movesett. I could go on and on about this but I'm not gonna. just gonna leave you with this (Valk 24 damage light parry, PK 23 damage TOP heavy that is slow or 20 damage + 11 damage combo finisher. LB 50, 40, 23, 20 + stam damage and stun into a mix-up.
- They made Hitokiri??!?! offensive meta my ***, these overtuned Hyper armor moves just forces you to play defensive, the same goes for stuns and stam damage (which is overtuned af in a lot of heroes)
- They say they want to make 4v4 great, but they still for some dumb reason try to balance for everything ( even dead game modes) and by doing so they are mostly cancer in 1s and unfun to fight still or they just made the tracking and amount of stuns and unblockables/bashes overly represnented in 4s
- there is no conituety or plan to this

I mean his intentions are good, and he does probably care and wants to do a good job, but he forgets this game is more than 10-20 PC players and a 100% dead competative scene (I mean you can't really say it is compeatative when almost no ppl partiipate in tournaments, they have to remove featurs becouse they don't work (becouse ubi ****ed them over) So stephan should as the leader of the team, eider start playing this game on console wifi with other players on a normal TV or a normal monitor and add 80 + ping and wifi to them. then rethink the way he wants to balance this game. Becouse now it is litterally just a spam fiesta on console, and not the good or interesting kind. damage is overtuned, stam damage forces you to be defensive and so forth. I hope he actually starts paying attention to his largest player base or at least more than 10-20 PC players or I really hope he fineds a new job!
Intentions are good, ideas are mediocar, execution is horrible and follow up and speed is awfull. The Ubi monteral way, at least with this game. 2.5+ years and this game still has buggs from beta. no ranked 1v1 (except beta) ranked 2v2 and 4v4 got removed/never realsed as planned. Tribute and Skirmish is still game modes that gets maps and orders, and even on PS4 EU (biggest base of players) you can seldom get a fu...ing game.

Most Youtubers play on pc setups for its better efficiency, connection, and ease of recording. But if you ask any of them that have played on console and they all admit it is hellish by comparison. Average console ping is around 40-80 on GOOD wifi, then you have those warriors playing in the Mcdonalds parking lot, rocking a solid 120 ping and somehow not disconnecting. I agree with the OP, they don't care about console, hopefully us having access to the testing phases now with this new implementation will allow us to have a say before they start deciding that 400ms is too reactable and add in 300ms lights or something.
You are not wrong, playing g on console is way different to playing for honor on pc.
All their updates and changes are made for pc. Attacks are harder to block, let alone parry.
Watching those on YouTube, everything looks so smooth and quicker than playing on console. Something needs to be changed from pc and console.
Finally a rant worth reading and totally agree on everything alot of follow up bashes your not able to dodge it. the new hero starting bash tracking is also mental it's almost impossible to have a match where you can just react and not think of the next 20 moves ahead of the game. I love this game but I'm fed up with the constant bs us console players have to deal with!
I’ve played both pc and console. Pc the lights feel like heavy attacks on console lol. Totally agree with what you’re saying for the most part. The problem with this game is:
To be good on PC= skill
To be good on console= ping
Yes, skill is still heavily involved, but speaking from multiple tests, on console Being able to parry quick lights and lights in chain needs about >20 latency. That’s as close to perfect connection you can get, and assuming your opponent isn’t red lining themselves. To be able to parry moderately slower opener lights on reaction, >50. Everything faster is intuition and guess work. To be able to parry lights with good intuition and guess work, >80. Anything else above is instant and you need to just match guards or use HA and hope for the best. The problem is, in every fight someone has super **** ping and then makes the whole experience worthy of a 80+ ping match even if yours is pretty decent.
Yep agreed! I've seen way too many times where I get GB right through my attacks and many times attacks go right through my blocks even when I am not even trying to parry. Sometimes, I'll press GB first and it turns in to a counter GB . . . and don't get me started on how inconsistent counter GB is. The worst is the light chain spam where once it starts it keeps going for multiple hits and there is no way to even block so you have to disengage and roll away. On console it really seems like there's no reason to even defend because it's all about who can get their chain attacks going first, especially when getting ganked. it takes forever for my revenge to come up, but somehow my opponents get their revenge almost instantly! It's usually the highest ping (worst lagging) players on top with the most take-downs and this is just sad.
I stopped bringing this up about a year ago because I seen the direction the devs took, there really should be separate balancing though, if they did, the game would be about mind games and misleading your opponent, instead it's about spamming all your fastest moves and mixups.
They try to balance for the competitive scene on PC, but end up not solving any balance issues on the PC competitive scene and make gameplay worse for console players, I'm down to playing the game an hour or two a month, I used to play it 5-6 hours a day for the first year and slowly stopped playing as much as the game was sped up. Orochi has always been a pain in the *** on console because of his light spam and what do they do, they buff his lights to be even faster than 500ms.
Hopefully their next For Honor style game takes a different route with separate balancing.
