Why is This Game so Dead?

Just bought it, and it's a ghost town. I thought TD2 brought some life back into this relic.

Anyone other than the same 3 people willing to give me some help?

The game is over 3 years old. Though the forum mostly is, the game itself is not dead. A Global Event just ended and it was quite busy during that though I did have trouble getting a team to matchmake Stolen Signal.

Don't know what you are talking about, I play almost daily and there are always people playing. Matchmaking on daily missions always gets me in team, or when I start missions myself others will join later. When I go into DZ there are always other players running around, okay lots of cheaters doing manhunt but I can't say it is dead. Playing on PC during European day time and there are also still new players that are starting with the game. The only thing that I don't see is players with commendation levels that exceed 4000, but who cares, always nice to teach some new players how to beat content the easy way and do missions quickly.

I keep meaning to jump back in but with the resurrection of City of Heroes that took my attention for awhile - need some new content really to get myself back into TD1 again :s

I'm on European servers, and D1 is still quite lively. The Dz especially is busy, which if you like a bit of PvP is good (apart from the many hackers you'll come across) and is good for farming landmarks for loot if you're lucky enough to get a quiet Dz server ! Hardly had any trouble matchmaking for legendarys either 😄

Ignore the content and blasts through it as fast as you can, just like in TD2. If you haven't reached level 30 and WT5, it probably is dead to you. You'll see, but good news is that their may be players willing to boost you and get there pretty quick.

That's a good point Yoda. A large portion of the player base is at the end game. This is one of the few games that I think the end game is THE GAME. Many have meh end games but TD series is where things get a lot more fun at least in my opinion.

i always seem to find players for what i do and yes it is at endgame ( underground legendary missions etc ) and created a new char not long ago , and seem to notice a lot of newbies in the safehouses , so new players have roamed in to NYC for sure .. more or less

    Division 2 Yup Dead

There are core issues that are just ignored so people leave and play something fun.

RHG is a joke. Character movement is terrible. New content is lacking any reason to play it more than once.
