It's funny I want to re do an 1886 rifle build but with more headshot damage parables, so in my hunt for something decent, I pick up many many yellow brand sets with multiple red/yellow/blue percentages..
Yet I couldn't find one with more than 10% headshot damage on it.
Last thing last night i'm deconstructing yellows because not one had anything I wanted and started selling the purples, when I spotted something on a purple chest peice as I sold it, I re-purchased it and what did I find (it had 20% headshot damage) on a fricking purple. immediately saved for when I find that yellow chest piece so I can recal it.
That's the best headshot percentage iv'e found on any piece in 500 hours of play. on a damn purple lol.
This would be fine if we say, gave up max DPS to get max armor or max health or max skills or something. But it's impossible to get max anything because, well for starters not even God knows what a max roll is for anything in game and also I've never seen a max roll for anything drop, no one has (at least according to what I've seen and read), because they don't exist in game.Originally Posted by tcarlisle2012 Go to original post
Once you get an okay-ish build in this game there's nothing you can do to get a better build. At best you can only get an different flavor of an okay-ish build.
This drives me up a wall like almost nothing else in this game.Originally Posted by Sensible-Jack Go to original post
They REALLY need to take a page out of the Diablo 3 book when it comes to loot.
It should only be mildly difficult to get most of the items you are looking for, but incredibly difficult/impossible to min/max them.
Right now way too much RNG is focused toward an item even being remotely usable.
The problem with large quantities of useless items dropping combines with poor inventory management to make for a pretty terrible experience in this area.
I assume it was Alps? There's really only one purple drop you want to look out for and that's anything Alps, because of stat density.Originally Posted by Sensible-Jack Go to original post
That's kinda the point, the way attributes, talents, mod slots and recalibration work in the game are all so complicated you have to study articles and charts to get a good understanding of how to put together a great build. And even when you know what you're doing you've got to have a ton of luck or patience to farm for gear that is actually what you're after since there are so many possible combinations, drops are totally random and the recalibration options are extremely limited.Originally Posted by Rasmuth1963 Go to original post
It's cool you have fun playing casually but be glad there are people who put more thought into their builds when they carry you through heroic missions.
RPGs are pretty much all like this, at least online ones. Most single player offline ones, you could get away with not worrying about stats.Originally Posted by Rasmuth1963 Go to original post
Sure they can. If the reason for the Raid is to appease the 1% to 2% of the players who complete them and decide to ignore the remaining player base and those players are full on Gun Builds. They might surprise us, but I will wait for the surprise then think that they planning for every player and not just a handful.Originally Posted by Merphee Go to original post
