SERIOUSLY UBI !!! YOU CALL THIS A SHINOBI REWORK!?
Better get your words right.......
you were supposed to rework!! add something good while removing all that's bad!!!
before this---
people don't use shinobi much...because he is difficult to use...and people are not using him to screw the game out...you need to look at the majority of the players and not the elite base...
here are the shinobi short-comings before this nerf!!!-
the smallest health pool (gets him killed in just two heavies), screwed reflex guard (appreciate that it is now fixed), gets super punished on ranged heavy and ranged gb, you can't always parry and deflect...and is heavily punished if missed...unbalanced easily...gets thrown very far and is easily ledged...no openers...no bleeds like nobushi or pk...no undogeable attacks...super low chains...and many more...
and now he is just nerfed to the ground-----
FEELS SO BAD AT THE TREATMENT TO THIS CHARACTER!!
EVEN HIS SEASON 11 EXECUTION IS CRAP!! while others have so creative execs....
i have a rep 60 shinobi main and i actually bought all dlcs and play the game for him...
Right now the changes that you made to shinobi were good for the game, but I think people are frustrated that he had no compensation for the nerfs that you gave him. RIght now shinobi is really bad in 1s because his movesets are super reactable, so when you nerf his retreats but not buff his offence, you can understand why people would be frustrated. Even if you did something like increase the speed of his kick, or increased his health, to make up for the removal of his hyperarmour. But would be better. But a flat nerf to an already fairly 1D hero wasn't a good move.
I can get that Shinobi was annoying to fight because of his spacing ability. But getting bait by a Shinobi was 100% a fault of the player, not because the heroe himself was OP.
The only very stupid things was his range GB ignoring revenge and sickle rain being uninteruptible.
But outside of that Shinobi was a very skills dependant heroe.
A lot of people just say "hey at least he is less irritating" but i am sure most of them would not be able to play decently with him.
I would like to see people play with the smallest HP pool, the 2nd shortest guard, a very poor offense and no UB.
Shinobi goal has always been to trap people and when you did it means you outplayed them.. not the fault of the Shinobi if some players are still bad enough to Dodge attack him on his back flip or front roll for a free deflect or try to GB him after a whiff kick, frontroll or heavy finisher for a free sickle rain lol
When you won with Shinobi this is mostly because you outplayed your opponent unlike a lot of heroes atm.
Thats why i feel bad they nerfed him like this without any buffs in terms of offense.
He is a dead heroe now.
I agree with the original poster, the Shinobi has been nerfed into the ground and it was extremely misleading to use the following phrase on your website:Originally Posted by Ubi-RealDude Go to original post

You gave us all the impression that you were going to improve the Shinobi, but instead you did the exact opposite of what Shinobi players were expecting. The nerf was not only a poor decision because the Shinobi is already a difficult hero to play in any 1v1 fight, but also referring to this massive Nerf as "more competitive" is also incredibly bad marketing.
Ubisoft would have been better off if they at least made it clear that a nerf for the Shinobi was coming, instead of giving Shinobi players the hope for a rework and then tearing that hope into pieces by nerfing the hero into the ground.
I plan on using the new Viking hero as an alternative, but I definitely won't be spending more money on Shinobi cosmetic items, executions, signatures, effects, and emotes because Ubisoft killed this hero as far I am concerned.
It's the overpowered Hitokiri and Raider that needed a nerf.
lol "so many changes" you mean a blasting nerf that does nothing to mitigate the type of shinobi players it was supposed to discourage - the ones that only play ranged in ganks and run away from fights. The shinobi rework was sold to us under the pretext of "making him more competitive" and what that turned out to be was, reducing his offensive ability while giving nothing in return (normalized guard? wow...impressive...). I'll bet you a fiver that this "rework" (nerf) will only result in more people going for the ranged spam hit-and-run, the actually objectively annoying playstyle.Originally Posted by Ubi-RealDude Go to original post
