There's not a lot of info to go on there, so i wont give you any build advice. You're obviously knowledgable, so what i'll tell you i'm sure you'll do fine with.

First and foremost, on kill talents are very hit or miss in pvp. In pve they're fantastic, but in pvp they give you a situational asset. If you have some buddies that play well together, they can be okay, but I prefer talents that are always up.

If you are going to go in solo, then it is so much more reliable to wait and pick off kills instead of trying to fight in the open. For instance, in my circle we use one of us as bait sometimes, and it works fantastic. Human players get tunnel vision and blood lust very easily and it's worth sacrificing someone for a 2v3 or 3v4 when they will be facing us at 100% and they will be fighting at 50% health all because we got the drop and the bait got off a suicide made or something. Relate that to solo play as you will. I never go in solo, but I have been owned hard by talented solo players that use that seem to play with that mentality.

Speaking of getting the drop, if someone gets in on you with a good shotty build, depending on what skills you're running and how your build is comprised, you might have lost. However, if you use a really well built defender drone or are coming off of a heavy stim efficient booster hive, you can reposition for an advantage sometimes. Overall, it's better to get the drop on other players though. Game sense and map awareness are just as important as build optimization.

I'm not the best pvper in this game, and playing solo isn't my forte, but this is the mentality we use when we can get together and we always have a fruitful harvest from the DZ.

Also, I play on ps4 so there are things about playing on that platform that do not necessarily transfer to PC very well and vise versa.

I'm sorry if all this is too general, but im not sure exactly what to answer. These are just the things we have told friends that are either new, or struggling in the dz.

Well, for what it's worth, good luck. If you play on ps4 maybe we can group this weekend.

We will all be on and don't mind taking people into the DZ. If you don't mind a few crotchety old men drinking beer and talking smack lol.

Im looking for sound advice. I have been playing this game have tried countless builds.

    I have 18.5% AWD

I have 40% rifle damage damage bouns.

I have 33% AR damage bonus.

I have tried strained, ranger, optimist.

Just logged into check out TU5 most of the content wont be available till 6 days.

Went into DZ already see guys running seeker with 58% x 2 bonus damage mods which is fine not complaining.

Then I see a guy running around with shotgun build that basically drops you in two hits.

Ive tried fighting at range using cover and still get melted.

All anyone does is alligator run for lack of better term run in your face and either use seeker, shotgun or whatever gun they are running.

So what are the keys to success in the DZ cuz as I see it right now all it takes is having more armor than your enemy.
I'm NOT a fan of PvP in this game or TD1. So take my advice with a grain of salt.

But, your AWD seems low to me. I think that should be closer to 30% to give you a fighting chance. When in the DZ, are you doing ODZ or normalized version? What's your Armor and Health? From what I understand you should be at least 300k armor for sure... I'd say try to get close to 100k health. And then, what skills are you using? The shield drone seems to be the current meta (because it's kind of bugged, but even when working as intended, it's going to help a lot) CC skills are kind of useless, but the seeker mine should be pretty useful or the EMP pulse to counter other agents skills.

    Good luck.

Cool, you can stop trolling anytime now. You've made yourself known and have been acknowledged there's no reason for you to keep trolling now.

I have 330k armor and still go down in two shots even with the defender drone.
