A serious question- Why does the Siege elite minority control everything about this g

According to every single pickrate and win Delta graph they display and justify any in game changes based on Plat3 to Diamond.
These players and their respective skill levels represent a total of 18.02% of the Rainbow Six Siege population.

So screw the 81.98% of us lower level scrubs that think otherwise and are forced to take the reaming of Pro League , Streamers and Sieges top tier players?

Not really a complaint thread I just have always found this disturbing and felt like screaming it out today

I'll go ahead and don my Nomex suit because I'm sure it's full on flame mode soon as I hit submit new thread

True, and pick/ban came to Ranked based on Pro League. Don't get me wrong, I like it, because it provides a different opportunity for it's use than they intended...banning operators that are OP and yet have not been balanced/nerfed. But, that's not what Ubisoft intended. They intended for it to be a strategic thing. They were mistaken in thinking it would be used that way for the regular community. Pros use it because they scout each other; they watch each other's strats, and which operators they're the best with, and choose accordingly. We don't have any of that information when facing randoms...so we use to get rid of annoying ops. And Ash is super-popular in pro league....which is why the stick figure with a head the size of an apple has yet to ever be truly nerfed (taking away the ACOG on the R4C was a waste of time, I can snipe with a red dot just fine).

Well it's also using a group of people that know how the game works, play the game well and know how to effectively use each ops as well constantly playing in groups, so they kinda serve a good termometer, i mean a bad ash or montagne is not a threat compared to a competent thermite. So it's possible that the results would be more skewed than you think outside of plat and diamond

Truthfully I think pick and ban should be modified to be on a round by round basis instead of matchwide to truly keep teams in their toes I think it would open up a whole new gameplay dynamic.
This could be done a number of ways one of which would be continuous banning in which with each progressing round an additional defense and attack operator gets banned and it would really make long matches very very interesting with players having to develop new strats based on remaining operators.

    Think of the possibilities

I'd like to see graphs representing the full playerbase in addition to these plat and diamond graphs it would be interesting to see how each skill tier plays

Never understood it either OP. Occasionally it works out like the new pick and ban but most of the time they are only pleasing what, 15% of there player base and sticking it to the rest of us. Especially when they remove maps from ranked. How was Kanal not balanced? House was a cluster f&*&k but we all loved that map. Same goes with plane. Yet they remove because the 15% didn't like it? Now I will say that this forum has been a good place to talk about this stuff because when their is a valid or good idea, mods will respond and push it up the ladder. That's pretty awesome and not something I have experienced with other games or developers.

It's the same with every games out there. Elite players are only cry babies who want to win all matches with their favorite characters and destroy other characters.
Unfortunately, devs don't care about the majority who are playing the game.

Also, while you discuss pick and ban feature, that's the most useless feature in the game since everyone ban the same characters anyway.
    - Blitz
    - Jackal
    - Caveira
    - Hibanna
    - Echo
    - Clash
    - Lesion

Why not ban them for good in Ranked?

Because people want to play these ops as well. You can't ban these ops just because they are annoying to a group of people. There is also a group of people that want to play these ops as well. Pick and Ban has just made them want to play their ops even more now.

One of my guesses of why they use around the top 20% of R6S is probably because the plats and diamond are the more experienced, and their choices are more tactical. I don't mean to insult anyone as I'm kinda a silver myself, but in Copper-Gold you just don't see as many strategic decisions and operator picks and bans and such based off of experience, rather, comfort. One of my examples is the Jackal ban. In my honest opinion, he's banned out of comfort and not wanting to deal with frustration rather than being banned out of deciding what might be a threat to winning.

I do think the rest of the community should be listened to more, but think about it for some time and it's easy to see where Ubi is coming from.

Because these operators 1) aren't quite ALWAYS banned (with the exception of jackal, I think that nobody loves him except me) and 2) like said by someone else, people want to play these ops.
