Been playing a lot of Kensei lately and these are some things I think he needs.
1. Obviously 500ms side lites. Should be getting them next update. If not then you are hopeless devs.
2. Let him soft feint his side heavies to top heavy/top lite
3. I think his heavy soft feints could be sped up a little bit.
4. Speed up his initial heavies a bit, or give him hyper armor. (I'd prefer just speeding up the heavies)
5. Let him feint his heavies quicker.
6. Give nature's wrath some hyper armor for some initial trading and to make the move useful, or let him feint it. (I'd prefer letting him feint it.)
Those are just some things I've noticed that might help him out a bit.
If they were to increase the speed of kenseis soft feint heavy, he should be able to catch people who try to dodge his pommel instead of parrying the heavy after dodging. As a rep 30 Kensei i would like it too ! I've made a thread like this few months ago as well.

It would be cool if after pommel strikes Kensei could have a larger window to input the light or not.. just like Tiandi for example. Atm the moove is risky and you have to be very carefull.. si much that sometimes my pommel strike works but i didnt throw the light because i thought it wouldnt and sometimes i throw it while the Guy Dodge very late and it catch me..
Nature's Wrath also need either better speed/range or HA yes. But i would choose a the 1st option.

2. Nah, wouldn't that create some sort of soft feint top/side/top/side shenanigans?
3. Yeah to the ones 2nd in the chain (the heavy soft feint into lights are currently 600ms normally, or 500ms when soft feinting into them). I would rather they were 500ms normally, or 400ms when soft feinting into them (giving him in chain pressure), or let him pommel strike again
4. Speeding up his top heavy to 900ms, decreasing the damage to 35, and giving the pommel strike armour from 100ms onwards would do wonders to it being option selected (hyper armour would appear at 600-900ms, meaning that 400-600ms option selects would trade but still allow kensei to continue his pressure)
5. Isn't feinting consistent across all characters?
6. Actually tracking rolls would be nice
Other thoughts: Increase stagger duration of pommel strike by 100-200ms so that the confirmed light input is a bit more forgiving.
Yes 500ms mid chain side lights are required.
I think his top heavy opener should be sped up slightly to make it harder to option select basically all the options.
Then either he needs to get the ability to feint into pommel from a mid chain top heavy as well, or give him a variable input on the pommel soft feint.
Also more hit stun on pommel. As you have to buffer your light input for it to not be blockable. It might ruin a fun little mix up that exists atm but i'd rather have a more consistent pommel.
Nature's wrath afaik just needs better range/tracking afaik.
It might be cool to give him soft feint 400ms mid chain lights from his side heavies. But idk how much he'd need that with the other improvements.

We have shugoki's hug that has 2 seconds of recovery after whiffing a hug. This is for all actions.
On black prior's forward dodge bash he's got 2 different recovery times. He can CGB rather fast if he whiffs. But his parrying/blocking recovery isn't as good post nerf. Meaning dodge attacks faster than kensei's can punish it on reaction.
Then we have someone like peace keeper with her zone feint. It basically has no recovery at all. Allowing her to block, parry, or even dodge into deflect basically instantly. So you can't really punish her for using it even when she's being ganked.
