I got a comms ban a few times for cussing. LOL. This is an 18+ game and im an adult. Im allowed to say whatever the F i want. If you can't handle the heat you need to stay out of the kitchen is what i say. The option to mute me is there. So use it.

Having said that. There's no point sending messages to anyone man. I've been called an idiot and a ****** and trash, garbage, loser etc, etc countless times and they do nothing with those reports. Another players sends you dozens of spam messages telling you how much you suck, but send one simple reply like "kys" or "drink bleach" back and you're the culprit all of a sudden. Harrasement and abuse is apparently fine as long as you don't use the N word, the C word or tell someone to off them selves. So if you're gonna send messages, just use basic insults like idiot and ******. Apparantly those are not bad enough to warrant a ban.

An 18+ game doesn't mean you get the rights to verbally assault people? I see you don't like being called words by people online,so why return it? You do know you can mute them too? Don't return the toxicity,otherwise it just means you're just as toxic.

I don't mind being called words tbh. Im a big boy. Name calling never bothered me personally. Some faceless nobody tells me im the most garbage player he's ever seen: Not gonna cry myself to sleep over it lmao.

I simply want to get them banned to ruin their fun and because they should get banned because it actually is a form of harrasement and they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it. Others might not have such thick skin.

And yes, if you're playing an 18+ game on the internet and you knowingly plug in your headset and are open to receive text messages from strangers because you don't have your settings on private...

Well then you know what to expect and you shouldn't go all "WEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHH" like a baby everytime someone complains with hard words about how he doesn't like that you're ledging him.

The system does work,at least for text chat.When moron abound got a chat ban for a month and proclaimed that he didnt say anything bad on reddit,eric pope made a comment saying 120 cuss words had been logged just in that month.I don't know how voice can be logged,so i assume ubi just collects reports and bans when a certain number is reached.

Calling others things or swearing at them does worth a ban of some length (idiot less than the n word), but I wouldn't just instantly permaban anyone for their first "kys, get cancer, hope your family dies etc.", they should be totally reported to the authortities. That is the most disgusting, cowardly **** someone can say on the internet, something that would got them either beaten, totally ostacized or even before a court in real life. What if he has depression/lost a family member/has cancer and you push him towards depression even more just because you are too bad to not be guardbroken near a ledge? Yeah, it sucks, I don't like it and I never give rematch to players ledging in 1v1, but that is part of the game (well, max punish as you can say).

What is going on is someone insulting others or even telling them to die because of the way they play, and then complains that he gets punished for his conduct. On a football field, the adversary might not be playing the way you would like them too, maybe a bit too physical, maybe keeping the ball too safe and not being on the offensive enough, but insulting them, telling them to die, or physically assaulting them will get you a yellow or red card because they are still playing by the rules, and you aren't. Best way to deal with people who play like this is to bend the rules yourself too.

Someone is spamming light attacks? Be worst, spam more or ledge them. Someone is actively trying to ledge you? Get the fight to somewhere safer, or ledge them yourself. Don't put yourself at risk of being punished by the system, use it to your advantage

Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences. You're allowed to say whatever you like. But legally you can get charged for things like slandering or hate speech. Same applies with video games. You sign an agreement to play online games via EULA/ToS. Both of which are actively against players being jerks to other players. So yeah. You can totally buy into someone's flame bait and respond in kind. But that doesn't make you exempt from punishment. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I wasn't talking about spammers, ledging or anything gameplay related. Im talking about people sending you messages first when you beat them (or even when they win). Bothering you and trying to harass you with petty insults, sending multiple messages because they're salty as hell and knowingly avoiding extreme insults, so they don't get banned. Then when you respond with just three letters like "kys" you're the bad guy all of a sudden. That's dumb.

It's not hypocritical at all. There is very clearly a difference in severity with said insults/attacks.

If we're going alterior motive here then your motive for being this black and white is purely because you were burned hard for it but the other person was not.
Life is not black and white and you never deal in absolutes. People only resort to this frame of mind when it benefits them the most. At least you wised up and learned to keep quiet instead of getting into it with the person.

Life is not black and white and you never deal in absolutes. People only resort to this frame of mind when it benefits them the most. At least you wised up and learned to keep quiet instead of getting into it with the person.

It's harassment as far as im concerned if they keep insulting you and sending messages even when you don't respond. So yeah, if a guy keeps sending me messages for 5 minutes straight i tell him to drink some bleach at some point. Well, i did in the past atleast. If you wanna throw punches you also gotta learn to receive like a big boy and not run home to mama for help the instant someone insults you back, but harder.

Didn't neccesarily stop just because of bans (eventhough they suck) but mostly because the players doing it are probably kids or man children. Still, they're getting away with being "jerks" as you say and i don't see why that's the case. If anything they're doing more actual harassment than someone who just types a 3 letter word.

Next time when you get some salty kid sending you messages. Try ignoring them. You'd be surprised how angry and crybaby they can get when you don't respond to them. Atleast from my experience. Hell, some of them get so mad they eventually let out a "kys" them selves.
