Disappointed I spent money on this game

I was really excited to play this game. I had played practice mode on my roommates account and really enjoyed the combat mechanics of the game, flaws and all it was fun and I couldn't wait to play against people. Unfortunately after I dropped a bunch of money on the game I found out how flawed the matchmaking is. I basically don't get games. It searches forever and if I eventually do get a game it's with people 50-100 levels higher than me. I'm a 2nd prestige, why am I facing people that have literally prestiged hundreds of times. My roommate gets games in seconds, we even tried using the same xbox. He gets a game in seconds, mine takes 7-10 mins if I'm lucky. Every mode is the same. This is not an issue on my end, there's something really wrong in the matchmaking.

    What a waste of money.

Thanks for posting about this situation! I'm sorry these issues have affected your ability to play the game.

We actually just made a change to matchmaking that is supposed to protect newer players from overwhelming situations like this; we definitely appreciate that facing more experienced players can impact new players in a frustrating way.

This is happening in both Duels and Dominion?

Yes, everything though I only play the modes that say high or very high activity since it takes so long to get a match, which are 4v4 dom and breach vs humans or AI. I just played a dom match a little bit ago against two level zeros, a level 138 and level 46, My team was myself with two level 4's and a bot. I appreciate the interest you are taking, it's really not fun to wait for so long for a match only to get obliterated by high level players. For what it's worth it takes way longer to get a 4v4 match vs AI even though it always says high or very high.

Is it normal that most games people aren't my level at all, like at minimum 10 levels above me with a bunch of really high levels sprinkled in? Where are the people my level?

You're talking about a game with normal player counts of 2k to 5k.
It's a miracle this game matches to find games actually.I could understand something like rep 10 vs rep 200,but i just cannot fathom complaining about 10 reps above your level. There's basically no difference.

There's a pretty big difference when you are just starting the game. There's literally zero other multiplayer games that do that. I can't fathom acting like it's normal.

Ah yeah, you might be right. The difference between a rep 1 and a 10 is massive.Sorry for not acknowledging that,i thought you'd be rep 10 or so because you felt confident enough to spend money.

FH should really go free to play with the starter edition on PC. It would help the matchmaking I think, especially at lower reputation levels.

In Breach, I mostly put together with one or two people on my rep, and 5-6 total newbies, some of them so new that they were placed last with raider. Skill level should really be secondary behind rep when putting a match together, it feels so wrong to kill them.
