Idle kick, then mathmaking penalty? WTF | Forums

I can't even step afk for 2 minutes to take a piss or HELP MY WIFE WITH SOMETHING, before getting idle kicked? AND I get a 10 minute matchmaking penalty on top of that?

Seriously, **** off. That is the most ridiculous ******** I have ever seen in a game. This is CASUAL not RANKED--someone tell me why the **** there is even a ******* penalty in CASUAL in the first place? I can see ranked, but a casual ****ing match?

This is complete horse crap. I should be able to go take a ******* piss without being banned for 10 minutes,for ****s sake!

I don’t know bud I think you are wrong on this one. When you leave for 2 minutes your team is getting waxed because you are not contributing and they are a man short. Most matches, excluding breach of course, are 10 min and it take me about 5 mins for the next game to start. I pee in between matches, let out my dog, get coffee, let my dog in, give him a treat and still have time to get back by game time.

If my wife needs me then she can either wait until the game is over or she needs me bad enough that the 10 min penalty isn’t a big deal and what ever I need to do will eat up the penalty anyway.

I do get that it is “casual” but the other people in the game want to win and not get whooped because someone isn’t there.

Lastly when they didn’t have a AFK penalty the game was loaded with afk bots leveling up.

No other game has a matchmaking penalty in a casual game mode for being IDLE kicked. I think this is a dumb policy, and it is easily one of the stupidest things I've seen in a game.

Nothing more annoying than an AFK player. Penalty should be 1 hour if you ask me. If you lose connection you don't get a penalty so the game punishes you ONLY when you're ACTUALLY afk.

Now you know the game will kick and punish you, so next time you will only have yourself to blame. You either play and finish a full match (that only takes a lousy 10 minutes btw) or you can enjoy stating at the main menu for 15 minutes.

There is no ranked 4v4. Even when there was, no one played it because their ranking system was absolutely terrible.

Well that and the rewards for the ranked modes were the same if not less than the regular ones so there was no point risking a rank if there wasn't a corresponding reward.

I sympathize that one shouldn't get a penalty in casual modes but factor in that there's only one ranked mode and its duel. Until they do add ranked versions of the 4v4 gamemodes with significant improvements then no one will be playing anything other than the standard versions. So yes people do want to win and will become frustrated with an afk player in casual matches as it introduces a significant disadvantage. Sometimes the outcome of the match can be decided in those first two minutes and if you're not there to contribute to the potential victory then youre being a burden on the team.


10 minutes is not a lot of time. Check the weather or something while you wait. I've learned to take care if what I need to do before I start a match up and if something comes up then to not sweat it, it is just a game and a penalty can't be of any serious consequence if it's only 10 minutes long.
