    Posse Comitatus Act repealed yet?

Seems like the sensible thing to do after first disaster in New York, wondering why the government didn't send in a battalion of Marines in MOPP suits to clean up DC rather than just a handful of sleeper agents with questionable loyalties. Or why not send in National Guard even, cost too much and the government wanted to spend the minimum?

jtf = national guard. and we don't know exactly how many people have been killed by the green poison, but if it's enough to completely destabilize the country and literally fill new york city with body bags, I wouldn't be surprised if military chain of commands had broken down as well, let alone congressional acts such as repealing laws

There has been plenty of story and lore about the fall of the government and forces like the JTF (which included the National Guard). If you haven't found all the lore I won't spoil anything here but if you want a really good recap of the lore of the game, check out the NGN Gaming channel on YouTube. That guy has some truly awesome lore videos.

Thought JTF was a ragtag militia of policemen, firefighters, and other trapped civilians? If they were National Guard, why aren't they better organized and have more heavy weaponry? What I'm really asking here is: where is the REAL military and why aren't they doing their job protecting America in a time of crisis?

Are we playing the same game?

The president and vice president are dead.. and the speaker of the house was acting president and is kinda sorta the main bad guy now.

There's not some big marine group just sitting over somewhere waiting to be called in.. the division is a last ditch effort to restore a bit of balance.. everyone else is dead, scattered, chose a new side(blacktusk).

I viewed it kinda like that TV Movie "The Stand" by Steven King. I think it happened and spread faster then they could react. Keener was on the move remember. The Marines may have been busy else where.

It's a global issue, and likely hitting all over the country. So not only is chain of command broken, the executive branch is broken as well, as is most forms of legal justice.

A lot of military personnel got sick and died from the green poison. Then NY was quarantined in hopes of making sure the virus didn’t spread to the rest of America. No new military personnel was going to be sent into the quarantined zone because once in there is no coming out. You could be a carrier. What was left of the military in NY became the JTF. Later we find out that NY was not the only place hit and the whole thing becomes confusing.
