All you guys complaining about loot.... what do you want?

All you guys complaining about loot and RNG.... what do you want?

Do you want to get all the good stuff more easily? Do you want every drop to be top-tier, better than anything you already have? You want no drops to go straight to the trash pile?

How does that happen without introducing inflation?

Without inflation, how long before the complaint is that there is nothing for which to grind?

Help me understand.... what system would you implement in place of the current system?

If anything else I want loot dropped at my World Tier, the DEV's said they would drop loot at your Gear Score or higher and that hasn't happened.
It's been 4 Months of playing different missions on different difficulties and only got 1 Exotic to drop - WTF.
Stop locking Exotics/Gear Sets behind the RAID and in the DZ it's hard enough for most to get them to drop elsewhere like Hard Wired and OD/TP only seems to drop during the Invasion rotation. any adjustments would be appreciated.
Lets not forget the backlash DEV's got for wanting to lock 515GS pieces in the DZ and the Nemesis rotation Foul Up.

If you dont understand for your self why people complain about the loot system.
Then its no use to try to explain to you.cause you will never understand.

I want every type of gun (depending on the roll of course) to be equal in terms of viability and use for the endgame. There's no reason why SMGs and rifles should be mostly useless like they are now.

All i want is to find a upgrade to my junk every now and then not even a big upgrade ?. 500 gs is dropped with low gear score 99.9% of the time , and so most of us do not see the good gear , we come on here and read about it.. We need little upgrade to drop so we can feel that we have progressed a little, Walking/ running around in circles picking the same old junk is not my idea of fun, and yes i still play and i still enjoy the game but it is getting to the point where you say enough is enough .. Most have hit the brick wall and not bouncing back..

I am an old school gamer played alot of games like this shooter looters to mmorpg so im used to grinding for what i want an it doesnt really bother me much because i enjoy the game in general. And i know stuff will get fixed. It takes time and thats what alot of people here dont understand, Problem mainly is the game gave them to much to quick and now they want more , problem with that is the team at massive will never be able to program enough stuff fast enough to keep them happy .

From my observations of these forums and Reddit.

Majority of the players base their "loot" ideas and "Builds" on what a popular stream/YouTuber is running. With ideas like.. "Well so and so said this is the BiS, so I need that exact same piece of gear" This is fine for the most part. Most players aren't really interested in digging and doing math and trying out 6 different types of SMGS in real game(Meaning: They just use the Shooting range to see which number is higher). So for those players they see a problem with loot because they cant get that exact item their content creator.

    Heres the problems with that.

First always assume that most of those players are rarely playing by themselves.. which leads to loot sharing. When I'm playing with my friends we all know that the other player is looking for something hyper specific.. I could't tell you how many pieces I've got from them and they've gotten from me. Our loot pool is now MUCH larger and our overall chances are now MUCH higher based on the fact that for each mission we're all getting 2-3 times the possible rolls as someone who is strictly solo. My point here is to have that expectation set and realize that often times that's how these content creators are getting some of these god rolled items.

Second issue is: Weapon/Build Diversity. "I'M "FORCED" to use this ONE SMG/AR/LMG ect... Because its over all "DMG" roll is higher. Theres a huge fallacy that several average players will never admit to. You saw so and so use this AR... therefore THATS THE ONLY AR WORTH USING.

You didn't take into account that you're not as good of an aimer as that person.. OR your aim is way better than that persons. Different guns offer much more in terms of RAW dmg. everything from reload speed, ROF, accuracy, recoil ect should be taken into account by every player. Just because some guns roll lower on DMG doesn't mean you wont do more dmg with that gun. You know what makes your DMG higher? BULLETS ON TARGET. Guess what, your aim is WAY better than so and so's.. meaning youre going to land more bullets on a real game moving target.. or that other guy has Shroud aim from playing too much CS and hits WAY more than you do. Then you go to the shooting range and see 1mil DPS on targets that youve locked in on with muscle memory.. Guess what? Thats not the same as the bad guys running around in the heroic missions.. You're now doing HALF the real DPS you thought you would based on the Shoot range because that mob moves WAY faster, ducks and rolls WAY better. You'd have been better off going for a more stable weapon than a AK because you cant shoot the AK for sh!t, you're literally missing HALF of the shots.(I just used AK here because for me thats the highest base AR dmg I've seen).

I've got more.. But I've gotta get back to work.

lol We just expect massive to do things as they said they would. loot dropping at our gear score or better, venders being up dated ( haven't seen this done in weeks). Not having to grind for MONTHS to get some parts or items needed to complete things.

I don't buy the argument that if we get the builds we want we'll complain about nothing to grind for. There's always other builds to grind for. I had the majority of the builds I wanted in TD1 and was still playing the night before TD2 came out. If you cater this game to the streamers then yeah, they're going to get bored and move on. Guess what? They're going to move on anyway to the next hot game. Those of us who play this game and love it will still be here.

I previously made a post that I have an inventory, stash and two other characters full with gear that have rolls that I'd like to put on pieces that I'm farming for. However, with the horrid RNG I cant get the pieces I want. So here's what I would like to see:

    1. Remove the Active/Common talent distinction. Roll any talent to any slot
    2. Allow us to recal 2 items like we did on classified gear

This would go a long way in resolving the terrible RNG and loot drops we get. If the goal is to keep us playing then this horrid RNG will work for a short period of time then frustration will set in and have the opposite effect.

    My 2 cents.

Loot in this game can never be "fixed." It's impossible based on the way the system works. Every time an event happens (death of an NPC, opening a bag, chest, etc.) the game rolls the dice whether to drop something or not, then another dice roll on what to drop based on loot tables, then, when the game decides what to drop, it rolls the dice for what attributes/talents to give, then again once for every attribute the item may possess. You have better odds of the federal government opening the gates of Area 51 willingly than getting a specific item you want with the attributes/rolls that you want.

There are two other gear mechanics that I would have preferred The Division games would have had: Warframe's or Battlefield 4's, which, in my humble opinion, are better systems.

If you've never played any of those two games, in Warframe, you can acquire blueprints for warframes, primary, secondary or melee weapons, landing crafts, companions, etc. by simply playing the game, and craft pretty much anything you want except for premium cosmetics (by the way, the exotic crafting mechanic is straight out of Warframe). Every Warframe, every weapon, every mod in the game is the same for everyone at base level. What makes them unique and better is how much you grind to make them better and how you create your builds. The more you grind, the more you can update your mods to make better builds. You can do targeted grinding, not the way TD does it which leaves every reward in the game to luck.

In Battlefield 4, you unlock weapons by playing the game to unlock achievements. Once you unlock the weapon that you want, you need to use it to unlock mods for it to make it better. For example, every 10 kills would grant you a new mod (magazine, sight, muzzle brake, etc., whatever's next on the list). This makes you grind naturally to acquire all the mods for that particular weapon. No RNG involved.

Of course, changing the loot system to be similar to those is never going to happen in Division 2. But that would be something to think about for Division 3...
