This new gear perk system is lame

What is the point of maxing out your gear score to 180 for Player-versus-player battles now? It means absolutely NOTHING at all. Once you have managed to obtain 3 gear perks you can just stop upgrading your gear! The only place where gear score matters is the dead game mode called ARCADE.

Back when there were gear stats, your gear score meant something. Now, people complained and Ubisoft went all communist on us and made everyone equal no matter how much effort you put into the game or how long you've been playing or how many reps you have. Someone who buys the game 2 mins ago has the same stats as you. It means nothing anymore to max out your gear to 4-Diamonds at 180. So tell me, Ubisoft, why would anyone Refine their gear to quadruple diamonds 180?? Do you plan to give that gear purpose again or has it been reduced to bragging rights???

    Well:
    1. It's pretty, + bragging rights
    2. Gear made fights unfair, so now it isn't except in less consequential matches, so hurray fairness.
    3. You can equip more perks that way, and then at some point it stops, but who cares cause, again, just in less consequential matches.

If you wanna have stupid advantages over your adversaries and still act like you did everything on your own, you can either get a time machine, which, good luck, or you can play one of the OP classes of the moment, take your pick. For now, we're all happy with a game that gives a crap about being fair, thank you very much.

"Act like I did it on my own" lol.. And how do you think I got the gear if not on my own? Santa Claus gave it to me? Maybe the Tooth Fairy?
