I consider myself harcore player of the devision but I quit 3 weeks ago because if the loot system , took me a while to figure it out and that there's no way to mix match some items in different slots cause they dont exist dumb..I know...the loot drops where perfect at launch I had reasons to explore that hidden ally way and find a chest loot with correct gear score , now we know getting a 500gs item in a chest it rare basically killing exploration. Two weeks they destroyed the drops to be 483 purples in chest lol hihi around that 483-497 ....yea gear score means nothing but when you resolve a players drops around gear score well it matters allot..
SO how can you keep encouraging this by playing , I mean u don't even understand how the gameplay alone could keep you playing I mean it's great but this is a looter shooter with no loot , why are you grinding or going to play new content dropping with this horrible loot system basically destroying the real experience I dont get how some of you just dont drop the controller lol like what keeps you playing cant find groups anymore anyways always end up 2 man stuff and heroic matchmaking lollllllll theres already not enough for challenge..
Anyways I dont get how some of you still play...will be back like the devision 1 loot mistake but might be to late like in the devision one did to me , let me tell you there wint be a 3rd time , I will wait more then a month next time in case you decide to screw us over 2 weeks after launch.
I am only playing out of sheer force of will.... even then... I find myself drooling asleep in my chair after 20 minutes.... not a good sign. The loot system and the gear stat system are just bad. It is just dumb to think about how you need to farm for pieces for normalized builds, PVE builds, raid builds, ODZ builds, skill builds and whatever else. I hate the gear stat pool they implemented in this game. it is just garbage, I much preferred the first games stat system and how that normalization worked. This new thing just feels like a cheese puff that someone dropped in the pool
Lol I know right, had problems reading it myself , i am French Canadian and i just got up at and I'm baked and I dont feel like editing it lol...Originally Posted by JayKay040792 Go to original post
Pretty much left it like the loot system right now don't really care....Originally Posted by xxXnettoXxx Go to original post
I stopped playing well before I finished my first "build" ~500GS. It's just not appealing to me.
Which is strange, coming from someone that has over 30 builds on Division 1.
Character building feels too restrictive and confusing for me in this game. If I need 5 tabs of spreadsheets next to me, to create something that isn't even that different than just some extra weapon damage to another weapon type, I'm just not motivated anymore.

I mean from what I can see
3 sets have Crit
2 sets have Accuracy
2 sets have Hazard protection
3 sets have cooldown reduction
2 sets have Skill power
2 sets have armour/total armour
2 sets have DTE
2 sets have accuracy
I may have missed some but hey.
Personally I think Brand sets are this games gear sets of DIV 1 but they are nowhere near as useful or great for building diversity with, the brand sets attributes are spread out over too many pieces and having doubles or triples (on different brand sets is quite frankly pointless)
Also the build I want, well I know what I want and exactly what it can do but getting it now that's something completely different.
It will take me the best part of 500 to 1000 hours with odds of 1 million to one I get all the pieces with what I want at a minimum. as for recalibration and optimization sorry but it's Horrible and way too restrictive. within that same time frame I had approx. 15 to 19 different builds in DIV 1 filling different rolls for all activities.
The one thing DIV 1 got spot on reclibration and optimization.
I'm in a similar boat. I'll log on but after a few missions or some time in the DZ after 40-45 minutes I'm bored and move on. Which is sad for me cause I loved TD1 and could play it for hours upon hours on end, even when I had fully optimized builds and I wasn't trying to work towards any goals. And a good part of that I think is I know even if I weren't working towards a goal the loot I was getting was decent and might make me think about trying something else out.Originally Posted by MutantCowboy x Go to original post
The gear stat pool not just in quantity but especially in the ranges is beyond punishing. I showed the ranges to my GF and she then showed me the ranges possible on Warframe rivens....a 1.5% to 16% spread in TD2 compared to a say 330-370 spread for a bonus off a Warframe riven. The possible spreads and how they seem weighted to drop towards the lower values, then having 2-3 sometimes 4 gear stats on a piece so you need at least 2-3 to roll good numbers since you can only recal the 3rd or 4th one, plus you need the right talent, oh and the right mix of R/B/Y talents....the game seems designed to make us hate it.
