Shooting at a shield decreases their accuracy and make reticles reach the edge of the screen while making sure that if he tried to aim down sights he would just get headshotted, have you ever played with shields to know what happens if someone shots your shield?Originally Posted by Luckydevil_010 Go to original post
What level do you play at that people shoot at your indestructable shield enough that it's a problem for you? No offense, but I've been playing for nearly 3 years and I've never ever heard of this. Wasting ammo on the actual shield would usually be a death sentence because the shield player will just ADS you while you're reloading.Originally Posted by xcel30 Go to original post
It is a ballistic shield, what kinda damage/ill effects would you expect?Originally Posted by Luckydevil_010 Go to original post
There is a reason they are an INTEGRAL part of SWAT tactics IRL.
The only shield I have an issue with is Monty, and not even because of his combat ability, but his cheese of blocking off a defuser with almost no option around him (if you are without explosives)
I am all for anything that breaks up the meta of pixel peak-twitch headshots which shields should be GREAT for, forcing defenders to rely MORE on tactics than twitch aim skills.
The point of a shield is to FORCE their way into the roomOriginally Posted by NATural22cHANce Go to original post
That's the WHOLE point of em
A defender should NOT expect to be able to just drop a shield player heading in their direction with twitch aim skills alone.
You gotta use tactics, that's how it should be
Sure, that's fine, but OP wants to be able to walk into a room nearly invulnerable AND have better hipfire so he can also KILL defenders.Originally Posted by Mad_Dog8762 Go to original post
You can't have it both ways. If you choose to bring a shield to make yourself harder to kill, you have to accept that it makes it much harder for you to GET kills. IRL SWAT guys with shields aren't killing anyone, that's their squadmate's job.
And there's the admittance that you dont care if it breaks the game as long as its what you want.Originally Posted by Mad_Dog8762 Go to original post
You do realize that its a video hame it does not need to match 100 percent with real life.
So why are you just spraying at a shield. Lets run a scenario. You spray my shield till youre empty then i shoot you while you reload.Originally Posted by xcel30 Go to original post
Who said about wasting all the ammo and standing still in the open, i'm literally saying a mechanic that is in the game that magically is never brought up when mentioning shields hipfire for some reason. Here's what you do, you shoot a bit while moving to a better position for an ambush such as luring him into a crossfire with another teamate, get enough distance to throw impact granades or C4, force him to stay crouched so you can shoot his hand or feet, lure him into a trap, but a cover between the two of you that forces him to relocate to a worse position. Only a fully extended shield is truly well defended any other position has exposed body to take advantage.Originally Posted by Luckydevil_010 Go to original post
Try playing with shield operators to learn their weakness also, you will see that they are not invulnerable walls if they try to anything other than keep distance
Yeah i so had to keep my distance.https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/luckydevil010/video/77163319Originally Posted by xcel30 Go to original post

Dude i know how to play with shields hence the reason i say its not needed. Shields are broken on console the only reason i dont argue that they need more nerfs is cause i understand that theyre underwhelming on pc and unfortunately we share the same builds.
