I mean seriously, I watched about half of it and couldn't take anymore. All three of them just kept looking at some unknown off camera person and cringing everytime they were going to say something, or just after they did. Poor guy in the middle (Bruce?) looked like he was being held hostage the entire time and his job was on the line. Come on guys really... Hamish finally made it interesting again last time after a month or more of complete garbage SOTG's, but apparently he said to much and now is being watched again and is hamstrung (<-that should be his name now)? That was just horrible to watch, couldn't even finish watching it.
I will remind you that the one of the last times they had a SOTG, that even indirectly mentioning that the Eagle Bearer might be in a pool that was not completely raid exclusive; one of the lead devs had their twitter swarmed by people demanding that the Eagle Bearer be raid exclusive.Originally Posted by Kwoung Go to original post
If they say anything that is not completely sanctioned, someone somewhere is likely going to get swarmed somehow.
I don't blame them for now being so cautious. People are really wanting information and anything can wind up setting off anyone now.
It has gotten to the point now, except the one episode you and I referenced, that it is complete garbage and not even worth watching. I was hoping for something good, to give me a reason to come back and play, as the gameplay is hella fun, but when I realized nothing of content was going to be said, I stopped watching. They might as well just stop doing these SOTG's, it is getting embarrassing for them... not to mention poor Hamish, who I really liked before they shut him down. Now the poor guy just looks miserable doing his job, because he knows he is just regurgitating the party line.Originally Posted by TimesLostArc Go to original post
So just out of curiosity what is it that you're looking for in State of the Game? What is it that you're hoping they'll say that will "get you back in the game"? Or are you just looking for them all to be drinking at the table saying what a horrible game The Division 2 is and how no one should play it and everyone should just go play whatever game Kwoung is currently playing?Originally Posted by Kwoung Go to original post
Please, name me one other show produced by the company that makes the game that's being talked about where the people in the show just bash and hate on the game they made.
Personally, I really like SotG. I find it a good source for information that's coming right from the devs. No rumors or speculation, just facts.

Even though the deeper discussion shouldn't be in a SOTG, i far preferred them to this "reading patch notes" junk we got now. It really feels they are not allowed to say anything that was not pre-approved and scripted, which obviously, yet again, includes anything loot related. All the interesting change are totally pointless with the utterly underwhelming loot that wasn't even touched in a meaningful way since release. The few tiny band-aids changed nothing about all the loot being vendor crap.Originally Posted by Kwoung Go to original post
