Hi, I've just received this Code of Conduct Notification for harassment and just wanted to know what is this based on. I mean it's because I've been reported by another player/s or what. I understand that being "toxic" and write things like "EZ" or any other stuff like that in the ingame chat is a very common thing in this game but harassment is a very strong word. I can swear i've never harasshed anyone on particular in the game to receive this kind of warning or whatever it is this. Even less I we understand that for someone to be notified a thing like this must be at least with an amount of reports (I don't know how many of them) but because I don't understand how this report thing works I can't tell why I'm being warned. Just want someone to explain me this thing or how tit works to be sure it never happens again. Maybe is time for me to disable ingame chat. Is like: yeah I'm not the perfect gamer with that impeccable behaviour but I'm so far to being any near as toxic as some people I met in the game and they're still there. This is kinda annoying and unfair to be honest. Just want to understand why this happened. I'm not worried for my account or whatever just curious about this whole thing. Thanks.
Sure there is a reason, just want to know which reason is that. I mean i refused to believe that I'm being reported semi regularly unless I have the very bad luck to met some "babyrage" guys or something like that who reported me for losing or something beacuse in my almost 2k hours I'm pretty sure I behave correctly (as i do in my in real life) and never ever harrashed anyone because I do not do what I don't like to be done to me. Simple as that. This might sound like, you know, a rant but is not. This is a thing for me due to my way of being and I want to know why. But not just a random explanation like the email. No. I need the especific reason, the number of reports, the number of diferent people who did (not their names obviously, I don't care) and the preriod of time. Because is kinda lax notifiyng you but no giving you the details. That's not the way it should be or at least the way I think it should be.
They should email you the report, really. The people I tend to report are the ones who have either really unstable internet, almost like they are lag switching, and the other reason is people running around the map playing keep away when they are the last on their team left with no chance of winning.
As far as the reason you got suspended, who knows, the mods here will just tell you to goto the ubisoft website and open a ticket with contact customer service.
Thanks for the replies man. Thing is I haven't been suspended, just warned. Trust me, if I had been suspended I would be very very upset because I'm not the kind of person who behaves bad enough to get a ban. Those persons know actually what are they doing and if the have a ban they allready know too is well deserved. You know, we ALL can be trolls sometimes or make fun of a guy who cries in the chat or say dumb things or whatever. But as you well said, there are plenty of other things way worse like lag switching or being dicks running away when they are the last person alive or things like that (wich I never did anyways). Also I think I reported like 3 or 4 really laggy guys in this 2 years of the game due to I thought reports do noting without giving a video to prove your report but I guess I was wrong and reports are actually a thing, right??
As you said, this is just a warning. You're not the first person to get a warning in For Honor, and you haven't even received a legit sanction yet. I would just take a practical approach: try not to post negative things in chat. Don't grief, don't AFK, etc. These are the simplest ways to not experience any real sanctions.
I don't think you getting a warning implies anything about whether the "more toxic" people (paraphrasing you) received sanctions previously. It's quite possible that they have too.
Thanks for the reply but sadly your not saying to me anything that I wouln't know at this point. Is really that hard to say something like "look, your are being warned for being afk 20 times in the past 2 weeks or for being reported by 20 diferent players on the past 2 weeks". I don't know, just something so I can say "oh, ok, I'll try not to do that before". But if I don't think I did anything worth a warning, how can I be sure this is not happen again?? I just want to know what did I do wrong to just not repeat it. Just that.
No worries, dude, the sanction system is a mess, I had the same problem as you, even had the chat disabled for a while even if I'm not toxic at all... I'm even very friendly, I just like to talk about the game design and strategy with other players, with word like "it's broken as fck" or "what the **** is that", the system will automaticaly warn you even if none of those words were used to insult anybody. I made a ticket and they just told me they couldn't give me any details, and the automatic sanction system was still under improvement process and that they were taking into account my feedback.
Anyway, as long as they don't make the whole thing clearer to the players, it won't work properly. You can't follow rules that you ignore. It's pretty much absurd.
So if you don't want to receive any warning, just speak like an Offcial Representative of a Government and you should be fine ! Or don't use the chat at all, which is pretty sad I would say.
Anyway I've stopped playing FH for several reasons, this one included among others (the lack of balancing and move diversity...), I just check the forum now and then to see how things are evolving and improving or not, and it seems not sadly... Cause I really loved the game!
Have a nice day bye !
Yeah, in order for people to correct their behavior they need to know what to fix, if you get a warning or suspension, you should be told what it is you've done wrong.Originally Posted by AmonDarkGod Go to original post
