Appreciate all the responses, didn't realize there was a discussion until looking at my profile.

Very valid points all, and it's helped my appreciation of the game. That said, my only complaint is that they could have used different locations/buildings for the different missions. The same few are used over and over. I can't imagine it would be that much more work to add a few new mission locations, different buildings. Or at least completely mix up each one. Yeah, it might be a different entrance, and the mission objective is different, but it's basically the same pathway through the building each time.

I wish I had run into your description before I spent money on this. It's clear that this game is not for me.

Really? I get that it's a different group, but it feels exactly the same.....just with lots of drones and guys healing their fallen.

Just feels really lazy on the devs part, seems they just flipped a few switches and boom, whole new world to unlock.

Really love the mood of The Division games, but this is old arcade game setups....where you clear a level, than the next one is the same, just now in purple....
Imo, Black Tusk was an attempt at creating an original LMB-3, which were normal LMB, except with Hunter AI. Instead of just copy / pasting AI onto a different skin, they wanted to create something original, with original personality / design, difficulty, etc.

So if anything, it would be the opposite of lazy.

For me, the BT are a lazy design because they're just overpowered Division agents with a mix of every group technology and skills. It's like they wanted to find a big bad guy but didn't want to put too much effort, so they just throw everything in a blender and mix it up. And removed most of the weaknesses. And pop goes the BT.

They're not new enemies, they're just a tasteless soup made with leftovers of other groups, covered in 3 tons of spice to hide the aftertaste.

For me, I was disappointed in completing checkpoints early on, only to find out they would all be taken over after reaching world tiers.

Yeah, the fact we spent all of levels 1-30 clearing CPs only to be told it was all for naught is a kick in the pants. It would have been nicer if they put in the story line that what we did in levels 1-30 allowed a lot of civilians to flee safely from DC before the Black Tusk was able to invade.
