Just got to tier 1, only to discover that everything I cleared over the past few weeks is suddenly lost, and I have to go through the same exact missions/locations again.
Really? I get that it's a different group, but it feels exactly the same.....just with lots of drones and guys healing their fallen.
Just feels really lazy on the devs part, seems they just flipped a few switches and boom, whole new world to unlock.
Really love the mood of The Division games, but this is old arcade game setups....where you clear a level, than the next one is the same, just now in purple....
Actually, they are hoping for your addiction to find that one piece of gear that RNG just won't ever give, will make you overlook that you are playing the exact same mission over and over.Originally Posted by diagoro Go to original post
There are some logs and side missions that hint at their role in the game before they turn up. Such as the suicide of the vice president or who is supplying the weapons to all the factions.
The only real annoyance is that the game doesn't tell you that the (more enjoyable) invaded missions given when you arrive in the new tier don't reset after each stronghold is cleared so you get bumped to a new tier but are pushed back into a more vanilla map. Which means to get the gunner research done you have to clear the invaded stronghold and do it on a higher world tier, with crap gear because the games RNG for loot is awful.
It's you.
Despite the crap level of the loot this is a loot shooter. You are expected to re-run the same content over and over again trying to get loot that makes re-running the same content over and over easier. Yes that might seem lost in this game because the loot is total crap but that is the concept of a loot shooter. So the inclusion of Black Tusk that actually takes the same missions we run over and over and changes them a bit is actually a welcome inclusion.
Is it lazy? Maybe. Is it industry standard? Yes.
Black tusk are the reason we are in DC. They are the ones that were invading where we were in the very beginning of the game..
As far as we know, the Hunters could be part of the black tusk special ops, sent ahead, even back in division 1.
Their tech is stronger, and they have a thing for Division agents..Black Tusk have a thing for antivirals and their tech is superior .
Hunters first showed up in survival, when we were going in to get antivirals for New York..
In this game we see hunters creating huge ciphers and lurking building tops doing some sort of recon, vanishing out of sight as soon as they know they are spotted..They were here before the invasion.
I just figure,Black Tusk had to invade somewhere if they were going to invade DC.
