Many people have reported an issue that they cannot activate XP boosts. After checking what's going on I noticed that the XP boost-button only becomes responsive after ALL messages about who's left or joined the session has been displayed. Regular players of the game knows that these massages can keep coming for a long while.

So if you are repping up a hero, or just want to use your XP boosts - Don't sit there and push the button and wear out your gaming gear. The only thing you can do to make these messages disappear faster is to make sure there are less of them to display. So when you quit out of a lobby, don't immediately go back into matchmaking, wait for all the messages to go away first.

I also think it doesn't work when you're joining a game already in progress?
