The Far Cry 6 Wishlist Compilation

    Far Cry 6 Wishlist

This thread will be dedicated for Far Cry 6. Anyone can reply and add their suggestions in this thread, and I will consider adding them to the the main posts. I’m bringing ideas from my Far Cry 4 Wishlist thread back in 2013. The ideas and wishes that are fulfilled and are presented in Far Cry 5 and New Dawn will not be part of this list. All of them should be brought back to Far Cry 6. Ideas that are presented in Far Cry 4, but were not present in Far Cry 5, may return to this wishlist.

    Gameplay

    1. Bring back branch whips and claymores from Far Cry Instincts.
    2. Bring back the ability to attack while swimming, preferably with a melee weapon like a knife.
    3. Like in Far Cry 4, allow the opposing force to attack a liberated outpost.
    4. Bring back dual wielding 2 one handed weapons.
    5. Fire propagation on spilled gasoline.
    6. New Ability: While you are sprinting, holding the jump button will allow you to dive to the ground.
    7. Incapacitated players and NPCs can crawl.
    8. Bring back climbable vines from Far Cry Instincts and Far Cry 3.
    9. Able to use a flashlight at any time selected from the weapon wheel.
    10. Allow drivers to toggle the vehicle’s lights.
    11. Operating trains.
    12. Skiing and snowboarding in cold climates with snow.
    13. Bring back the Paraglider with new game mechanics:
      a. Sprint to increase the paraglider's speed before launching themselves.
      b. Able to attach on ground and water vehicles.
      c. Weather, smoke stacks and explosion blasts should affect paragliders
    14. Weather or plot devices affecting the environment:
      a. Ocean waves affecting swimmers and boats.
      b. Strong winds that can lift or push objects, vehicles and players.
      c. Strong winds that can influence fire propagation.
      d. Walking or driving on ice can be slippery and the ice can be destroyed by weight or destructive gameplay.
      e. Season changes
    15. Bring back the ability to detach stationary turrets and carry them around.
    16. Aerial lifts as a means of cable transportation. The cables can also function as a zipline.
    17. Bring back Black Hawk helicopters. Allow passengers to use turrets.
    18. Bring back the hovercraft from Far Cry Instincts and Far Cry 4.
    19. From Far Cry 2, 4 and Primal; bring back sleeping and the ability to change the time of day.
    20. Enemies should act suspicious when there are blood stains or abandoned guns lying around.
    21. Bring back Fortresses from Far Cry 4 and Primal in story mode. They should also be heavily fortified, so it should include traps.
    22. Allow players to replay missions.
    23. Bring back multiple save slots.
    24. Allow players to choose a voice for their protagonist. Multiple voice actors and maybe a voice modulator. This is meant for cinematic cutscenes or interacting with NPCs.
    25. Use a motorized rope ascender on ziplines in reverse. Once you use the rope ascender at the bottom end of the zipline, you will be pulled to the top end of the zipline.
    26. While keeping the binoculars, bring back the camera from Far Cry 3 & 4 for first person photography. This is an alternate version of photo mode and the game is not paused.
    27. In order to use ziplines, you can buy, find or unlock with perk points to use a rope descender.
    28. Bring back signature weapons from Far Cry 3 and 4. Possibly even hiding them in the open world like how Far Cry 2 has hidden golden AK-47s.
    29. Volcanoes as part of the scenery. There may be a volcano eruption at random or if triggered in a story mission. If the player touches the lava or magma, they will die.
    30. Bring back Far Cry 4's carjacking/hijacking with the vehicle to vehicle takedown.
    31. Rideable blood dragons, elephants, woolly mammoths, bears and saber-toothed tigers from Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, 4 and Primal. Introduce horses and mules. Let players mount on horses, mules, bisons, bulls, etc.
    32. Bring back dynamic weather in story mode.
    33. Operable APC, tanks and jets.
    34. 3 player co-op. If necessary, disable both Guns for Hire.
    35. Customizable Guns for Hire.
      a. Depending on their role, you can assign specific weapons with customizable attachments and weapon skins.
      b. You can change their appearance if you want. Choose any of the clothes you have purchased, earned or unlocked. (As seen in Ghost Recon Wildlands)
      c. Spend in-game money or perk points to upgrade Guns for Hire.
    36. Bring back Outpost Master from Far Cry 4. You can also increase the difficulty of each outpost, like what is seen in Far Cry New Dawn if you chose to scavenge the outposts.
    37. Bring matchmaking to story mode for co-op.
    38. New Game+ should be available when the game itself is released.
    39. Allow players to skip tutorials and introduction cinematic cutscenes.
    40. Downloadable Content expanding in story mode.
    41. Like in New Dawn's expeditions and Far Cry 4's side missions, there should be missions that are not part of the open world sandbox. As seen in New Dawn, these missions are replayable, with randomized objectives and where they're located, and you can increase the difficulty. Players should be able to choose their drop off location that is their starting point. The extraction zone should be randomized like in New Dawn.
    42. A day and night cycle that also shows each phase of the moon. Like full moons, half moons, crescent moons, and new moons. Total lunar eclipses and solar eclipses can appear as easter eggs.
    43. Returning characters like Willis Huntley should play a bigger role in the storyline.
    44. Bring back tiered enemies. You can see the differences between pirates and privateers in Far Cry 3. In Far Cry 4, it's between the Royal Army and the Royal Guard. Their appearances could also be changed as seen in New Dawn, but without requiring 'high tiered weapons' to take them down.
    45. Bring back weapon degradation from Far Cry 2, but with altered mechanics. Bring the rusty weapons from New Dawn, but without tiers and post-apocalyptic features. Like what is seen in Far Cry 2, let low tiered enemies carry rusty weapons that can jam and break. Purchased weapons or weapons picked up from high tiered enemies will never degrade.
    46. Vehicles on two wheels. Bicycles, motorbikes and motorcycles.
    47. Detailed gruesome skinning and self healing animations. Give players the option to turn skinning, looting, and gathering animations on and off
    48. Like the melee weapons in Far Cry Primal and Far Cry 5, allow players to carry multiple Machetes, Kukris, Japanese Tantos, Butterfly Knives, Dragon Blades and Shards. You could also wield and throw them.
    49. Bring back grenade takedowns.
    50. Dead Living Zombies should return. Since Dead Living Zombies (And Rainbow Six Siege's Outbreak) is a lot like Left 4 Dead, there should be levels dedicated to 4 player co-op. Each 'campaign' should last between 30 minutes to at least 1 hour long. Using Far Cry 5's Guns for Hire gameplay mechanics, Guns for Hire should be present in Dead Living Zombies. Like the co-op mode in story, allow 3 other players to drop-in-drop-out. A player joining the game should replace a Gun for Hire and a player leaving will be replaced by a Gun for Hire.
    51. Valley of the Yetis should return. Like the Dead Living Zombies suggested shown above, it should also feature a 4 player co-op.
    52. Escape From Durgesh Prison should return with 4 player co-op as well.
    53. As seen in Far Cry Instincts, Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4 and Dead Living Zombies, pressing the melee attack button should let you swing the melee weapon you are currently equipped with. If you are not equipped with a melee weapon, you should punch as seen in Far Cry 5. You can still kick using Far Cry 5's mechanics.
    54. You should be able to kick empty crates, barrels and anything else with physics with enough force to launch them instead of a slight push. Kicks should be able to knock down barrels, garbage bins, bottles, etc. While they are knocked down, another kick could make the object roll.
    55. Assassination side missions from Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon and Far Cry 4 should return.
    56. Bring back crafting from Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4. Since you don't craft weapon holsters, wallets, loot bags, syringe kits, ammo pouches, etc. in Far Cry 5, there should be an option to craft clothes. While you can buy clothes with in-game money and unlocking clothes during gameplay, there should be clothes that can only be obtained through crafting.
    57. There should be two different first aid kits. As seen in Far Cry 5, you pick up a first aid kit and you manually heal yourself. The other first aid kit would instantly heal the player as they pick it up. This classical version of the first aid kit can be seen in Far Cry 1 and Far Cry Instincts.
    58. Add characters from Far Cry 5 for special outfits that can be worn by the player and/or the models are placeable in the map editor: (Numbers 34 to 37 can apply for both genders)

    66. Add characters from Far Cry Instincts Predator (Instincts & Evolution; different from Far Cry 1) for special outfits that can be worn by the player and/or models are placeable in the map editor: (Numbers 8 to 12 can apply to both genders)

      2. Tornadoes causing damage to the environment.
      3. Hurricanes causing damage to the environment and severe flooding.
      4. Heat wave that can dehydrate or exhaust the player quick and slow them down. Characters staying inside cars that is exposed to sunlight may get hurt or killed.
      5. Cold wave can freeze indoor plumbing, insulated water pipelines, lakes, kill plants, disable vehicles and hurt or freeze and kill anyone who isn't near a heat source.
      6. Lightning that can start a fire, or incapacitate a person.
      7. Wildfires that can burn forests.

    Arcade

    1. Increase the player count in a match back to 16 players or more.
    2. For co-op, increase the player count to 4 or 5. That, or even increase to 16 player co-op. (It would be 12 in Far Cry 5) in Arcade maps.
    3. Allow match hosts to launch a multiplayer match alone.
    4. Like in Far Cry Instincts and Far Cry 2, you can publish a single map where multiple game modes are validated. Allow the match host to choose a game mode.
    5. Allow the match host to change the timer. If left default, then it should correspond to the map’s settings.
    6. Respawning vehicles.
    7. Able to host dedicated servers.
    8. Like in Far Cry Instincts, match hosts can add multiple maps in a playlist that can cycle. When the match is over, the next game will feature another map next in line.
    9. Match hosts can select multiple maps that let the players in the lobby to vote.
    10. Chat screens in consoles. Allow players to type and send messages in multiplayer.
    11. Spectator Mode (Free roam camera or preset cameras in the map)
    12. Allow players to switch teams in a team based objective match.
    13. Ability to vote to auto balance and/or randomize teams.
    14. Respawning players in vehicles. When a player dies, they can respawn inside a spawning vehicle.
    15. Bring back Steal the Sample or Capture the Diamond. They are capture the flag game modes in Far Cry Instincts and Far Cry 2.
    16. Bring back Seek and Secure from Far Cry Instincts Evolution / Predator. It is essentially another version of King of the Hill.
    17. Bring back Predator. A Far Cry Instincts game mode where 1 to 4 players are super powered predators while the rest are not. Up to 4 vs 12.
    18. Bring back Team Domination, Firestorm and Transmission from Far Cry 3.
    19. Bring back Outpost, Propaganda and Demon Mask from Far Cry 4. Asymmetrical teams where one defends and the other attacks.
    20. Able to have multiple teams like in Far Cry Instincts. In that game, you can choose from 2 to 4 teams:
      a. Red Team
      b. Blue Team
      c. Yellow Team
      d. Green Team
    21. Binoculars, parachutes, wingsuits, grapple tools, repair torches and brass knuckles can be items that could be picked up. They should be placeable in the Arcade, instead of just loadouts.
    22. A feature in the map editor where you can add locked doors or safes and can be opened with keys or lock picks that can be picked up. Include pick locking locked doors, if allowed.
    23. In the map editor, you are able to import videos in the map for everyone to see on a screen. On PC, you could upload any file. On consoles, captured clips or YouTube videos can be used. If necessary, allow players to report videos if inappropriate and it would be deleted by Ubisoft.
    24. Assign voices on NPCs. Remove certain phrases, so they wouldn't shout "For the father!" Let Omega Force soldiers speak with their original voices from Blood Dragon.
    25. Glass without borders.
    26. Adjust the height, width, and depth of generic shapes in numerical value.
    27. Save custom made objects and creations
    28. Add air pockets in water. Allow players to walk, jump and drive vehicles in air pockets. This can help create tunnels or underwater structures. Think BioShock.
    29. Placeable weapons can be customized. Add attachments and a weapon skin.
    30. Keep supporting Far Cry 6 so the game's longevity can be increased. Expand further on Live Events. If all of the Live Events are over, the next Live Event should start from the beginning with the same rewards. The Live Events should be repeated indefinitely.
    31. Able to import custom models and other assets from third party software to Arcade Editor.
    32. Able to customize how many rounds are in a weapon's magazine. 1 round in a magazine is the minimum and up to infinite. If the weapon has infinite rounds in a magazine, that should disable reloading. However, that does not mean the weapon has infinite ammo. For example, a player with a total of 120 rounds in an assault rifle can fire all 120 rounds without reloading. If a single magazine has 60 rounds, and the current magazine has been emptied, the next 60 rounds will be in the next magazine after you reload.
    33. Able to enable or disable certain animations. Animations such as being knocked down to the ground, collapsing after falling, and getting caught on fire where you have to extinguish yourself.
    34. Modify the turrets' ammo. By default, there are infinite rounds. There should be an option of editing a turret and putting a number given the total amount of bullets the turret has.
    35. The option to enable or disable takedowns.
    36. Bring back dual death from above and dual death from below in Arcade. There should be an option to enable them, while they are disabled by default.
    37. The option to rotate the textures for generic shapes. This is meant for rectangular shaped walls and platforms, stairs, cylinders, tubes, pyramids, spheres and doors. While choosing a texture, this should make it easier to create patterns. For example, you chose a texture for a rectangular wall and it doesn't look right. If the textures can be rotated, then we don't need to resort to using a rectangular floor with the same texture that is flipped as a wall, or using multiple rotated square walls.
    38. The option to add holes in generic shaped objects. Just like adding a hole on terrain, the same should apply to generic shapes. This allows the option to choose the location of windows, doors, and openings in any part of a generic shape, especially to 500x800 walls and 3200x3200 floors. Instead of using premade generic shapes that have windows or door shaped holes, this would expand on creativity. This can also create entrances in pyramids and spheres. This could also be a less expensive method than using multiple generic shaped objects placed together. Instead of using at least 4 walls to create a custom window, you would just use one wall.
    39. The ability to create custom objectives, including the player's written texts on the top left corner of the screen.
    40. The alarm feature in the game mode Outpost could be implemented to two other game modes. If you are going from Point A to Point B in Journey, the enemies can sound the alarm if they detected the player. However, you don't have to kill all of the enemies like in Outpost and they all can be avoided. In Bounty Hunt, the enemies sounding the alarm will make it harder to eliminate the targets. So you have additional enemies defending the targets, and it can be more difficult to escape. This will emphasize more on stealth, and the enemies sounding the alarm after detecting the player will make it harder for those who go loud. The objectives will stay the same. The alarms could also change the player's exits. If the alarm has been activated, the original exit can be blocked off and you have to exit the map somewhere else.
    41. Able to modify first aid kits. You change the percentage of how much a first aid kit can heal a player. If the percentage is 50%, then the player would have to heal twice to get full health. If it's 25%, then the player needs to heal four times. The player could even use one first aid kit that heals 50%, and another that heals 25%. If regenerating health is disabled, this feature could make combats more challenging.
    42. Add gameplay styles from different games. Imagine if the controls and animations from the Assassin's Creed series, Watch_Dogs, Splinter Cell Blacklist, Ghost Recon Wildlands and The Division are brought into Far Cry Arcade. One team is playing traditionally in first person mode, while the other team can perform parkour, taking cover, scaling walls, climbing pipes and initiate third person animated takedowns. It could also be part of the loadouts, so anyone could choose any style they would like to play.

    - Outpost Master more like it was in 4.
    - In-game typing chat for players not using mic.
    - 3 player co-op.
    - Multiple save slots.
    - DLC that expands the main campaign.
    - Support & 'Live events' longer than 6 months.
    - Custom GFH.
    - Replayable missions.
    - Co-op lobby/matchmaking for campaign
    - NG+ from launch (not added later in a patch),
    - Skipable intro/tutorials.
    - Retcon FC5 nuke ending. (I loved the dark ending to FC5, but I don't think it would be beneficial to the series to take it further in the main series).

    - Rideable animals like horses, elephants, bison, bulls, mules, etc
    - Longer support for game with continuous content updates
    - Larger fortified bases like the fortresses in Far Cry 4
    - Skinning and healing animations that show gruesome effects like before
    - Proper day/night cycle with moon phases
    - Different vehicle categories like ranging from lighter speed/armor/size to heavy speed/armor/size
    - Black hawk helicopters
    - Voiced protagonist with real emotions
    - Make FC5's ending noncanon
    - Bring back Willis Huntley and make him useful
    - Different enemy tiers like in Far Cry 3 & 4 where you have the basic pirates/army and once you progress further, you encounter much more militarized soldiers (Privateers/Royal Guard). Maybe even have the different sides interact or even argue if they are in the same place as each other
    - Two wheeled bikes
    - Fire that is actually destructive
    - Much of Far Cry 3 had connections to Alice in Wonderland while having various references to real world themes with the weapons and loot (The weapon descriptions told about various nations and armies that used them. The magnum mentioned Kim Jong Il and AK mentioned the USSR.) This needs to return in future games

    Example: SVD and Magnum description
"This battle-tested Commie semi-automatic sniper rifle can be considered a more accurate and powerful version of the AK47. SVDs are fine guns but the ones found on Rook Island are cheap Chinese knock-offs, meaning they'll work fine but you may get lead poisoning."

"The magnum revolvers here on Rook Island are actually part of a shipment originally bound for disgruntled North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il. Vaas, always on the lookout for more firepower, intercepted the cargo ship, seized the handguns and left a present in their place. No one knows what it was, but Kim Jong dropped dead the day it arrived. Coincidence? Do corporate lawyers have souls?"

    Because they have different agendas.

One is casually asking people's wishes, the other is attempting to create a exhaustive list of wishes. There is room for both. Although Krayzee's thread should maybe have been titled differently to make it clear that it wasn't quite the same thing. But ultimately they have different purposes, so there is room for both.

Far Cry New Dawn has tiered vehicles, weapons and enemies with RPG elements. They removed looting, skinning and gathering animations because they are a nuisance and it saves time if players instantly receive the items. I'll just add them in the wishlist anyways.

I think they removed self healing animations that involves flesh wounds in exchange for realism. It can be quite bizarre to see the protagonist remove bullets, shards, arrows and sticks from the same body part, or performing self-surgery twice or three times in a row. Fixing the same dislocated limbs and fingers repeatedly doesn't make sense. Applying more medical tapes on the same arm again as the previous tape magically disappeared. Removing bullets and shards animation is interrupted by the animation where you extinguish the fire with your hands, and the bullets and shards disappeared on its own. If you have open wounds after healing yourself, it could easily be infected. Now we have the player applying medical tapes offscreen, which could be the arms or torso. They even removed syringes since that could cause an overdose. That, and the logic of getting wounded in the leg and removing bullets out of your arm. I can't imagine the Far Cry 2 protagonist spitting out all of their teeth, or spitting out more than they actually have.

New Dawn has a healing animation where the player consumes a pill like in Far Cry 2, but I'd say even that may cause an overdose. I don't think that even healing pills will return in Far Cry 6.

The tiers that New Dawn had aren't at all what I had in mind, and the RPG elements for me were very unnecessary. What I'm thinking of are "tiers" as in like what Far Cry 3 and 4 did where you the Pirates which later be replaced with the Privateers and the Royal Army whom had weak weapons and soldiers would later be replaced by the Royal Guard. Tiered vehicles I'm thinking of are weaker looking small scale crude vehicles which then would be overtaken by stronger looking larger scale vehicles that make you feel more powerful, not any of the tier bar or insane amounts of health like what New Dawn did. Mercenaries Playground of Destruction is another example for tiers I'm thinking of. At the beginning of the game when you roam through the world, you find low powered vehicles such as weak helicopters, low armored trucks with machine guns, and small tanks such as the T-54 and Type 80, and later on in the game you find more powerful vehicles such as the T-62, M1 Abrams, Mi-35, and Chinese Type 96 that act like upgrades for previous vehicles in the form of completely new models and stats instead of being a bullet sponge and calling it new and tiered.

Far Cry's healing animations were there to begin with since they were meant to have a sense of realism and gruesome look, and the looting/skinning animations could be turned off in the past games in case if people didn't want to watch them. It is weird how Ubisoft made the healing for injuries inaccurate based on the injury received since they have all the animations needed, and that they just need to be arranged in the right order based on what injury is received. (ex: Ajay gets shot but relocates his arm, even though they have an animation for bullet removal but it only triggers when you are in a vehicle)

Far Cry 5 and even New Dawn's healing animations always felt lazy and just plain boring. Even though the healing animations of the past weren't exactly accurate or even THAT realistic, it added immersion, intensity, and variety to firefights and mistakes players make while exploring the world. Self surgery actually makes for more realism and adds a more gruesome part that shows what the world can do to you if you're not careful. Now, the problem with self surgery on the same parts are sometimes an issue since Ubisoft has gotten more lazy or cutting corners over the years, compared to Far Cry 2 where the player had up to over 10 different healing animations. Even though syringes were removed, I doubt it was because of possible overdose since Far Cry 5 still included drug enhancements (I think) that can be used to help you.
