3rd person sounds like a really bad idea, but I suppose Ubi still wants to explore which elements are received the best

To be clear, there is no 3rd person while in gameplay, it sounds like it's just in the cutscenes.

I personnaly enjoyed the cutscenes from the FPS perspective. Gave us memorable parts up close with the villains. Not sure how i feel about 3rd person cutscenes.

But as far as i m concerned, for the moment my only wish from such wishlist is to get a glisse of information on it. I m saying it again but never have i been waiting that long for even a basic information about a game supposed to have released almost 2 months ago.

    Developers,.....Ambient Music!

    More good, hypnotic ambient music.

It often happens that walking through many big, open world, games ....beautiful nature, landscapes.....
You want to ask the game developers - "WHERE???"

    WHERE is your ambient music?

Ambience itself - is very important.
Dogs are barking, child is crying, someone is sawing wood....
    Visually and acoustically, as well.

But it doesn't mean that music should be played all the time.
Sometimes music should be replaced by the sounds of nature.
Human music should assimilate into the music of nature.

    Music of nature.
Wind noise, the sound of rain, birdsong, insects, animal sound.....

I think it should consist of three components:

    1) Ambient music.
    2) Sounds of nature. Wind, rain, insects, birds, wild animals.
    3) Human sounds. Made by people.

    + Villages. Domestic animals' sounds.

All these sounds shouldn't be on their own.
They should be like an orchestra.
And Ambient Music should weave them into one big Symphony.

Good games they're like a symphony.
Not only visually but acoustically as well.

Sounds are also very, very important.

    Ambient Music + Sounds....Sounds + Ambient Music.

    One mixes with the other.
    One drowns in the other.
    One leads to the other.

    Ambience.
Dog is barking, the child is called home, the chicken clucked, people are working in the distance, the wind rises....

    Sounds, sounds.....sounds.

Likely just a flirt with FC1s 3rd person cutscenes. It's back in the 80s afterall long before mammoths roamed in the franchise. Doesn't make much sense, it really doesn't.

I always felt the "always first person" aspect was the biggest boon to immersion the series had going for it. Contributed to immersion more than removing the protagonist's voice anyway. I think seeing our character in cutscenes is in response to the positive reception FC5 had to it's character customization, something I felt was fairly trivial tbh. Not a huge deal to me, I'm far more interested in changes and improvements made to gameplay, so I'm just waiting to hear more about that.

Because Far Cry 5 brought back character customization, I do want to see some nice updates to it. I highly doubt wearing camouflage would be a thing since you can wear anything and still hide in bushes and tall plants. I do want to hear new footsteps depending what type of footwear you are currently wearing or none at all. Playing as Faith, Citra or Primal, you're running around barefoot. Aya and Bayek are also not wearing boots. Despite this, you can hear boots.

I find it interesting that even a Nintendo game Animal Crossing New Horizons have different sounds for footsteps. You can even run barefoot in that game and you'll even hear accurate sound effects. You can run barefoot in the rain and it's spot on in terms of realism for a game that's not realistic at all. Nintendo even recorded footsteps in the wet sand, dirt and bricks.

It would be nice to hear different dialogue depending on what you are wearing, whether obnoxious or not.

When you say FC5 brought back character customization, don't you mean to say that it introduced it? First game in the series to feature it is it not?

No, I meant brought back. While Far Cry 1 on PC gave us options to select character model for multiplayer and Far Cry 2 gave us a selection of characters to choose from, we can customize our character in Far Cry Instincts, Far Cry Instincts Evolution and Far Cry Instincts Predator.

Oh I was speaking in reference to the story mode.
