GameGuru is best ignored, period. If trolls are not fed attention, then they will move on to somewhere else.
As for future Far Cry, it would be awesome if the player were discover secrets about how far they can interact with the world, making exploration not only much more interesting, but very satisfying. What I am referring to is for example.... if the player had the ability to control a vehicle or perform an action they wouldn't think they would be able and that the game didn't at all reveal to them in any way.
This was sorta a running theme in GTA. In GTA 3, the player can control and even fly the dodo plane, which they can use to travel to secret areas in the map and discover easter eggs like the ghost town and names of the developers on the minimap, and that the player can find a hidden message in a hard-to-reach alley that says "You weren't supposed to be able to get here you know". As far as I know, there is no point in GTA 3 where it is mentioned ingame that the player can do that. I thought that was amazing. Future games in the series like GTA SA and GTA 4 had similar secret interactions that aren't mentioned anywhere.
I don't mind if he's adding suggestions. He doesn't have to write "Let the past be the past!" That's just straight up rude with passive aggressiveness. About his animated gifs, the fact that he mentioned 'he has to' add them is ridiculous than just annoying.Originally Posted by The_Father_Xmas Go to original post
Yeah you're not listening. You don't understand a single word of what I'm saying since you're choosing to ignore what I'm writing here. I don't want to end up in another pointless argument.Originally Posted by GameGuru2018 Go to original post
This is my thread. I haven't edited the main post in awhile but reading the way he write his posts is really discouraging me from updating the thread. It's really strange to me that I'm feeling discouraged when I want to remain active and keep updating the wishlist.Originally Posted by Unsaneboi Go to original post
It's not just GTA. I still fondly remember in games like Halo 2, you'd have to perform glitches, exploits and anything hard to pull off in order to find secrets. For example, trying to lure an enemy banshee into a long tunnel and then hijacking it at the the correct time so you can fly the banshee after exiting the other end of the tunnel. It's hard to pull off thanks to auto saving, activating specific checkpoints that will delete the banshee so you need precise timing to hijack before that even occurs. Hijacking the banshee too early will result self destruction. Destroying part of the wings so it can fit in a tight corridor and then you can fly the banshee to the sky and find a hidden scarab gun and giant soccer ball. The fact that when Halo 2 is remastered on the Xbox One with better graphics and added achievements, you have achievements that are asinine to unlock since it requires glitches and exploits. Still, it is something worth bragging about since it's not part of how the game is supposed to be played.
I remember designing maps for Far Cry Instincts Evolution, and I would deliberately add secrets that can only be found through hang gliding, grenade jumping or surviving a long fall that is more than likely to kill you. While yes they are multiplayer maps designed for us to kill each other and win, but it's fun adding these things. I do the same when designing Far Cry 5 maps.
It should be struggle here! Only in struggle there is development! Not in a-s licking! Avoiding struggle, calling names, calling somebody troll - is for weaks.
So.....I think game needs kamikaze!
Kamikaze always make fighting process more intense. When you see somebody rushing at you, like running bomb.....always adrenaline.
Kamikaze can be not only people but animals also. Dogs, for example. Well trained kamikaze dogs. Or some other animals. Even multiple rats, birds, running, flying at you.
Kamikaze can be combustible truck drivers, planes.....
Game needs kamikaze!

If someone doesn't like to talk to me.....I won't insist. But I'm open to everyone!
And..... we don't discuss personalities here - we discuss Far Cry, everything connected with the game.
So.....I think Death must be Punishable in the game. Why? It adds tension. Anxiety. More adrenaline. When you know that you'll lose something. It can be something material and not.
Material - money, for example. Not material - your progress. When you will have to start from the beginning again. You've played,played....walked through so far....it was so hard......and ooops! You're dead. You have to start it again. Next time you afraid to die, you don't want to repeat that suffering....it makes more tension.
When you die without fear to lose something.....it's not good for the game. Even from a psychological point of view.
Does that mean when canceling the animation means you're reverting back to the previous ammo type you were just using?Originally Posted by Borkaman87 Go to original post
And, KrayZee, my advice to you for future - don't try to be liked by everyone! No matter how hard you try you won't satisfy everyone. You'll only lose yourself.
Idea itself to be liked.....is defective. When you want to be liked - you become like a beggar holding out your hand for alms - "Please, like me.....!" I'll do this or that, I'll say or won't say this or that - but please like me. If everyone likes you....you should know....something wrong with you.
But at the same time you shouldn't deliberately hurt and insult people doing or saying something. I've seen how you were talking to people.... I should say - You're rude person, intolerante.
You can't insult or offend me, no matter how hard you try but someone else might be hurt. Watch yourself!
Returing to game - People, sorry for kamikaze-dogs! Yes, they were in New Dawn. I've played so many games since then.....They're all mixed in my head. I remember now them, especially liberating 3d level outpost.
Those dogs were such faceless that I even managed to forget them! (I'd prefer shepherds, wolfhounds)
I remember well Wolfenstein's angry kamikaze-dogs! Young Blood was very good for me. Better then Colossus. Weaker story and cut scenes, with minuses.....like cleaning the same territory again and again. But it was progress! I've heard many critisizm about the game and mockering....."Femminstein", "Vulvanstein".....but idea to change the game to make it, at least semi-rpg, was very good. With health bars above enemies was much better. Game reminded me New Dawn - two sisters, prosperity - catacombs, innovations......may be developers of Young Blood were inspired by New Dawn, who knows?! Wolfenstein 3 must be very good! So will Far Cry 6 I hope.
I think Far Cry 6 will be something like Far Cry 5 + New Dawn + innovations. But not Far Cry 2 + innovations.
Which means that we'll see health bars above our enemies. I only want justifications of these bars. Man wearing only t-shirt and demanding all bullets in your cartidge - not good.
In Wolfenstein this was justified. Our enemies were different types of robots and heavy armored soldiers. In Far Cry 6.......how it will be justified???
That sais only one thing - Far Cry desperately needs new types of enemies! Health bars good for robots, drones, mutants, supernatural creatures and armor.....
No, I'm not even trying to insult you or offend you and no, I am not taking your advice. I don't care about being liked or not by strangers in the internet. The way you write is giving me a headache and you're giving me no choice but to ignore you. I'm not asking anyone else here to 'change'. About nearly everyone here talking to you is being very patient with you and if you're going to respond to us in the wrong way once more, we're going to label you as nothing more than a troll. If you can't even self reflect on that and you want others to change their attitude towards you, that's not how it works. If people are rightfully convinced you are a troll, then you have no right to say they are 'weak' for saying that. You're only proving their point and your arguments lack any merit. I am done, I am not going to respond to you anymore because you don't get it. You have wasted enough of my time throughout all of these months in this forum.
Very good. Let it be so. I won't impose myself.
But I'm sure, if someone, instead of arguments, start calling names or call another person a troll, it shows only one thing - his weakness, weakness in argumentations.
What does someone want to say calling another person a troll? It's attempt to dehumanize an opponent. Make him look like something not serious. Something that unworthy any attention.
In such case, when there is nothing to say as counterargument people throw - "He's a troll!" - and usually add that silly - "Don't feed the troll!"
But what does Troll really mean? Troll - is a person who deliberately writes something provocative with the goal - to cause disruption and have fun. People are trying to discuss it, quarrel, and he is sitting, looking at it having fun or pleasure.
I've never seen a real Troll here! There were different people: spammers, angry persons, haters, bigots.....but there were no real trolls. May be I've missed something.
Returning to the game again .....
Why not to use animals as weapon?! Through all its history people were trying to use animals as weapon. Just let's take only combat elephants in India, mules with bombs in the Middle East.....
I mean not only dogs but using rats and birds as kamikaze. Equipped with explosives, swarm of rats or birds - can be very dangerous.
I think game should use pack animals more!
Instead of making them undying, like it was in New Dawn and what I didn't like, may be would be better to use their numerical superiority?!
In Far Cry fauna is playing important part, animals, birds. Let's make them more lethal!
