Dismemberment
Decapitation
Disembowelment
Realistic gore & blood
I hope FC6 has these. The FC, AC & GR series all depict extreme violence yet all the NPC bodies stay intact. Whack someone with a legendary weapon in AC and they just fall over. Unleash a 0.50cal at bad guys in FC and again - they just fall over. Bodies should be shredded, severed limbs and internal organs littering the ground. Screams of pain and NPCs die. This would really add to the immersion and would make for a lot of fun gameplay.
They did have dismemberment for Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon but the enemies wore an outfit covering head to toe. We can run over enemies with blood splatter on the windshield when driving a tractor in Far Cry 5. I believe the lack of dismemberment and decapitation is an artistic choice. There's some minor disembowelment such as skinning animals. Hopefully they'll update the character models in the game engine for next generation consoles.Originally Posted by DV20Katana Go to original post
Ubisoft overall need to upgrade Far Cry's engine. This would remove limitations and allow the devs to do things like dismemberment, an accurate day/night cycle, different types of vehicles with more unique traits such as tanks, jets and bikes, destructible environments, better world interactivity, fire propagation and dynamic smoke/wind effects to name a few. Hopefully this is something they will focus on for the next installment since it seems FC5 already used up all the power of current gen consoles Ubisoft could squeeze out, and that we already have 4 current gen Far Cry games. I remember watching a vid of FC5 arcade with the unused dirt bike spawned and being used. They tried to add two-wheeled dirt bikes since FC4 but couldn't because the engine wasn't capable of bike physics. FCND worked around the issue by adding a side car. This meant that the bike's handling was basically the same as the tuk-tuk from FC4.
I am sure it is mentioned somewhere else, but I think it is not a bad idea to post it:
1st part of the idea:
Customizable vehicles - thought first it would be in Far Cry 5, but it was not.
I imagine it like the vehicle "spawn points" in Far Cry 5 or New Dawn, but with the possibility to change:
- Color / Skin [we have this already, maybe it is a bit even to "crazy" atm - need to be carefuly not to make a "circus game"]
- Weapons (for example: Change the turret of a boat or the bombs of a plane; guess this point isn't to complex)
- Doors or other add ons for vehicles (like a bull bar to reduce damage by ram hostile/hostile vehicles; add armor; or the possibility to remove the doors. The player can get in and out of the vehicle faster, but is less protected inside. Also the possibility to add a stronger engine (if it is unlocked) would be cool.
Yes: Of course, a few add ons/weapons cost in-game money.
Just remembered this idea, because I am playing Far Cry 2 atm. I realy love the compact car, also with removed doors and hood (you can 'modify' your cars with your machete... especially if the car is already damaged.)
The 2nd thing is (depends on which time and place a possbile Far Cry might play), but why not add some legendary vehicles into the game (if possible), famous racing cars or even combat planes ... maybe called: 'replicas' - we all know, they will crash and/or been blown up at times.
Wouldn't it be an interessting collectable to unlock these famous vehicles? The Race Car of XXX(?) and XXX(?), the fighting plane of the Red Baron or whatever ... ...
A few might need a license; but we also have two Jeeps in Far Cry 2 ... which I also like to 'modify' if they are damaged.
could not read all but have you mentioned dual wield handguns and smgs like scorpion and making cosmetics and event tied rewards guns vehicles to be made available all the time after events, so the only difference would have been those who complete those events will get it first
command option to tell the npcs to equip no fire arrows and use silencer (both for stealth gameplay and hunting)
Hear me out.. there are two different endings to Far Cry 5 yet only one story to follow up on. I would love to see a second story that picks up after you walk away at the end and the bombs do not drop. (He’s only right because you followed everything according to the prophecy.) imagine coming back as a Solidier of the National guard and taking down Joseph seed with bigger and better weapons.
