Since there are outposts that will spawn helicopters if the enemy triggers the alarm after spotting the player, plants that are being blown away wouldn't help the player break the enemies' line of sight if they're trying to hide in those plants. It's just like how molotov cocktails, flamethrowers and heavy flamers would burn the vegetation with fire propagation since Far Cry 2. It doesn't help the player in terms of stealth. In addition to this, vehicles that were parked or abandoned by the player should raise suspicion and the enemy would be on alert.Originally Posted by Unsaneboi Go to original post
Far Cry Instincts, Far Cry Instincts Evolution, Far Cry Instincts Predator and Far Cry Vengeance are the only games in the series that allow dual wielding weapons. Not only you can dual wield sidearms such as M9, Glock and Desert Eagles, but you could also dual wield MP5s and P90s as well. You could also use any single handed gun while climbing ladders. Only in Far Cry Instincts Evolution where we could actually climb stone walls and a collapsed wooden bridge that goes vertical, whereas Far Cry Instincts is just ladders and vines. I don't recall climbing vines in Far Cry 5, but I know we could in Far Cry 3 & 4. I actually miss these features. The first time I played Far Cry 3 back in 2012 when I see Jason Brody running away on a wooden bridge in the prologue, I actually expected Jason to climb the bridge when his hands were holding onto the planks. It's a nice detailed cutscene where he lets go and falls into the river, but I was somewhat disappointed that he didn't climb the bridge.
Duel wielding would awesome. They should bring back the ability to climb environmental ledges that are not explicity shown to the player and stone walls to provide a greater sense of independent adventuring.
The cutscenes should also allow for at least some degree of interaction to allow for different outcomes and characters reacting differently each time.
You're not talking about quick time events, are you?Originally Posted by Unsaneboi Go to original post
I like how the AI can also shoot while they are driving and use ziplines in recent Far Cry games. Both of which were only exclusive to players in older Far Cry games. I'd love to see AIs dual wielding weapons during gameplay. Fighting dual wielding enemies or fighting alongside dual wielding allies would be pretty cool.
Developers should think seriously about possibility of animals talking in the game.
Talking to animals, understand their language, to humanize them - ancient dream.
Talking animals in Assassin's Creed would be rather weird idea. But in Far Cry, with its fun and animals riding - just what the doctor ordered.
Animals can't just start talking or talk from the beginning. It should be justified.
For example, after using drugs....or other alter mental state.
Imagine....usual animals and suddenly they start talking. All. Nature will come alive even more. The fly is saying something, butterflies are laughing, wolves are threatening...Some animal may say - "Don't shoot! Please! My child is waiting". Or some sexually obsessed bull may say, watching at us - "Sh...t! I had no luck with heifers today, may be with you I'll be more lucky?!"
Animals can be sympathetic, pitiful and very funny.
(Or it can be one talking animal. Even trees and grass may talk...."Water....water!" or "Only don't p... on me!")
That would also add another variety of enemy to the game. I also like it when enemies are at least almost as capable as the player as far as navigation goes. Maybe we the player should at least be able to learn to be faster & more efficient, but the AI should be capable of doing nearly anything we can do, it'd make the fights more dynamic.Originally Posted by KrayZee_ Go to original post
