    Community Video - Foo Fighters - My Hero

    I'd like to invite everyone to participate in a new community video project;

    Foo Fighters - My Hero

    This is an easier DLC track for the original Rocksmith(https://theriffrepeater.com/rocksmit...ghters-5-pack/), it has Lead, Rhythm and Bass, all are in E-Standard tuning.

    Any mastery level is welcome, please don't feel you need to be perfect - that isn't what these videos are about. Play whatever path you like, include the notetrack in the video or not, include whatever stream setup you like, cell phone video is acceptable (please be in landscape orientation or expect ridicule however!) as are pro video setups.

    The idea is to showoff "who plays Rocksmith."

    Learn A Song, Score Attack or Multiplayer are all fine, just please make sure the original track audio is audible in your video. Video of users playing on Consoles, PC/Mac or iOS are also, all fully welcomed - as are clips from the original Rocksmith game if you are in the mood!

    The only thing I'll ask you not to do, is use any custom fretboards as part of your clip.

    Submissions will be accepted until Wednesday the 31st of July - most people are likely to have some holidays for a while by then so this gives everyone some time to practise or get their video recording setup right.

    I'm using the Google form for submissions, purely because it'll make my life easier to credit everyone when it's done and give me a nice easy list of files to download before editing everything together. The only compulsory fields in the form are the name to be credited, path you're submitting and the video link (YouTube or Dropbox only please). I am not auto-collecting email addresses with the form.

    Google Form for submissions; https://forms.gle/DfX2mvgX9GTLJYHN8

    This will be the fourth video of this type that I will put together, other people have done similar things before, for eg;

    * Elison Cruz (from TheRiffRepeater videos) put together Oasis - Don't look Back In Anger - https://youtu.be/U74wWRgh6Js
    * Wr4thTV put together Muse - Knights Of Cydonia - https://youtu.be/X-RWST04TzU
    * While I have made Rush - The Spirit Of Radio - https://youtu.be/8byqzwhSelE
    * Iron Maiden - Fear Of The Dark - https://youtu.be/_b56ttRFNmU
    * Velvet Revolver - Slither - https://youtu.be/opSQiuxEevw

    Thanks in advance to everyone that chooses to participate.

    Some of you may be wondering how to actually record your Rocksmith Gameplay.

    /u/Gryphonboy made a great guide for streaming Rocksmith (https://www.reddit.com/r/rocksmith/c...ocksmith_2014/). The important part for this purpose is the **Broadcast Software** section. Head over and read his guide if you need some help getting setup, or ask questions here.

    I'm a bit too shy to take part in these things, but can I just say that these videos are great to watch?

    Thanks for doing this

    I went with My Hero this time, because it has a much lower "skill barrier" than some of the others. 100% mastery is really not required. Please, don't be too shy to play the song at 5% difficulty, everyone has to start somewhere.

    Video preview of the charts for the timid :-)

    I'll have to give this a shot!
    Love the song, but usually don't play Foo Fighters because strumming too fast causes the ol' RSI to flare up, but i'll have a go at it.

    Looking at past videos I think multiplayer should be OK. In Slither you can see Audrey & Kate playing together.

    Thank you for that! I've been wanting to get in on one of these, but was the other recent songs were too far past my skill level for me to feel comfortable. I'm totally doing this one - downloaded the DLC yesterday.
