Yeah, like I said I have no problem getting revenge with him, it's just that it doesn't really give you any extra offense, everyone just blocks parries and back dodges until it runs out. Even his full block heavy only hits one guy, opening you up to be attacked by the others.
I get revenge with LB or HL and I can do some pretty good damage, I get at least one kill with them, I just don't think Conq has any anti gank potential. Even WL is better at anti gank.
True, you're not really going to be securing a lot of kills with Conq's anti-gank but in proper scrims and coordinated teams stalling out a gank indefinitely while disputing mid is invaluable.Originally Posted by The_B0G_ Go to original post
In random MM where peoole just brainlessly throw themselves at you it is of course way more fun to just rack up the kills when you get revenge.
Yeah I agree, with a good team he can be a game changer, but with randoms you can pop revenge all day and no one will come help lol
I love the brainless matches when everyone is just hacking away at you, it makes it pretty easy to do well.
I liked BP last night, I'm not used to him yet but I don't really like to crutch on any one move with any hero, in order to play BP effectively do you need to be using his shield bash constantly? Kind of like Conq?
Well, yes and no, at least that's my experience from playing him for a few weeks almost exclusively. There are opponents who just refuse to do anything but turtle, and as soon as you go to your unblockable, you will be interrupted with a single light. Against them, the best to just spam them to death and move on.Originally Posted by The_B0G_ Go to original post
Against more interesting opponents, just having the bashes is enough, you don't have to spam them. The basic feint game is interesting enough with all the basic two part chains, the second undodgable and the ability to fastflow into bulwark anytime, both for offense and defense. It might also confuse some opponents if you just go to bulwark, stay that way for two seconds, then leave it, nobody wants to eat 30 damage, but if they go for a guardbreak, they might be caught by the unblockable. My favourite duel part with him is when you land a light, and you bait out something like the lawbringer's dodge bash, which you counter with bulwark. The only bad matchup is shinobi, but he is an annoying little **** anyway, who doesn't belong to For Honor.
In group fights, well... for the short answer, watch Faraam playing him.For the longer one, Bulwark is incredibly good against ganks if you use it sparingly. you have wide attacks, and if you can lock to someone who can't parry you, throwing some unblockables heavies into undodgable heavies into unblockable heavies into undodgagble heavies will decimate basically any team in seconds.
Not really. You basically use his neutral bash to easily set up free ally damage in a gank or to interrupt certain mix ups. Occasionally you can use the bash more frequently. Like when the person is oos.Originally Posted by The_B0G_ Go to original post
Your main mix up is in combo. Where after a light you can either: light, bash, undodgable heavy, or fast flow from the light into bulwark to threaten with the unblockable heavy.
From neutral you can also occasionally sprinkle in heavy soft feint to bash or zone when being aggressive. If you're ganking and don't want to feed revenge through setup you can just repeatedly go into bulwark and throw the unblockable heavy but feint it all the time.
At minimum this makes indicators disappear which makes ally attacks potentially easier to land. At best they attempt to parry and you or your ally can parry or gb for setup.
It's also worth noting that if you have the stamina whenever you land a chain finisher you can fast flow into his unblockable heavy to continue to pressure. Also remember that his bulwark unblockable is a chain starter. And that you can follow up with a light or heavy after a zone on whiff.
