    Ideas to improve the Shield skill

    Hello, Agents!

    Thought I'd share some ideas that might help the shield in more challenging content. It's well known that in it's current state, it's not very good at protecting it's user. I'll be focusing more on a PvE perspective as that's what I have the most experience with.

    - Significant boost to base health

    - Give all variations a certain percentage of damage resilience (As it stands, even with near 1 million health, it doesn't last very long. This would go hand in hand with the health boost)

    - Allow talents that heal/repair armor apply to the shield.

    - Lower NPC melee damage to the shield.

    - Add a charge ability that allows the user to rush and stagger while the shield is out (Just an idea for a neat mechanic, I was thinking once the user is walking for X amount of seconds they can double tap melee to charge)

    - Allow the Bulwark to be placed as cover (Similar to the mobile cover in the first game)

    - Give Crusader certain perks depending on the weapon being used (Assault Rifle - 5% bonus Armor to group members, Shotgun - 10% reload speed to group members, etc)

    - Increase damage and number of targets hit with richochete bullets from Deflector. Perhaps even a status effect.

    I apologize for the long read, but appreciate any who did read it. Loved the shield since the first game, and I still use it now (with defender drone).

    +1 Make the shield great again, especially on its' base health/damage resilience. Though as it stands I would just prefer the ability to shoulder swap like in the first game.

    I wouldn't mind if they enabled a brace stance that lowered your speed and didn't let you shoot for drastic large amount of damage resistance, other than that just buff it bases HP

    I like these ideas. Melee damage from NPC's should be fair...at least they cannot make u stumble anymore. I think melee has always been a bit off in the game but being able to have a specific melee charge is an awesome idea....maybe some tear gas rounds to break up the fight?

    I loved using the shield/defender against rogues when I was low level cause no one really used it...but I was shredded in the end anyways lol But now that my shield mods are high Im using it alot more now.
