    Recalibration Capping

According to Patch notes from May 15th

    "RECALIBRATION
Recalibration has been changed to allow for the majority of stats to be moved as they are, from one item to another, while making it less likely to reach the cap of the stat moved. To achieve this goal, we’re expressing the recalibrated power as a separate number called Recalibration Score, next to the Gear Score. As such, recalibration will no longer increase the gear score of the item. All existing recalibrated items will have their recalibrated additional gear score converted to the new format."

According to this spreadsheet regarding maximum attribute rolls- https://imgur.com/a/eO6IrWx

So why am i being capped way short of max attributes?

    Examples
Max Bonus Armour % Roll on Knee Pads 12% - I am capped at 11% (Providence Kneepads)
Max CDR on Holster 25% - I am capped at 18% (Petrov)
Max CDR on Back Pack 30% - i am capped at 21% (Petrov)
Max CHC on Holster 16.5% - i am capped at 15% (Fenris)

I have several gear pieces in my stash with higher attribute rolls that I cannot transfer to my gear because I am capped. Is it Brand related?

If it is Brand related please please please could we have the devs release an official breakdown by brand of maximum attribute rolls by brand set?

that is based on what could drop for you not what you can roll on any piece

@ Nuxbag - Thank you for taking the time to provide your input but I fear that perhaps i was not succinct/clear in the issue/question i was raising.

The patch notes clearly state, and i quote "Recalibration has been changed to allow for the majority of stats to be moved as they are, from one item to another, while making it less likely to reach the cap of the stat moved."
    So if i have -
Backpack A with 30% Cooldown Reduction and underwhelming Gear Score/Armour/Talent/Remaining attributes, and,
Backpack B with acceptable Gear Score/Armour/Talents/Attributes/ but only has 10% Cooldown Reduction

Based on the statement made in the patch notes and quoted above I should be able to transfer the 30% Cooldown Reduction from Backpack A to Backpack B unless i somehow achieve the "less likely" point of hitting the cap of the stat moved.

    Questions therefore are:
    1. What is the attribute cap in this case? Is it 21%? Because that is (on my build) 100% re-calibrated.Or is the Recalibration Station not working as intended and therefore is bugged?
    2. Where can one find the documentation outlining the Cap points/levels of each attribute per gear piece?
    3. How can an Item drop with an attribute over a supposedly cap level?

majority, less likely key words so not all. there is no document with that to my knowledge. what can be moved depends on the stats already on the piece in question so it varies. so a single attribute piece has a higher ceiling to work with then a piece with multiple attributes and mod slots and the amounts of all the stats also play a part

I understand the concept but the concept remains illogical and inconsistent.

Thus if re-calibration is linked to the number of Attributes on a given piece of gear - logic dictates that Re-Calibration i therefore dependant on the Brand Set because the Brand Set will determine the number of attributes of a given gear piece.However......

    I have 3 Gloves
    1. Overlord gloves with 23200 Armour (96% of max drop), no mod slots and 2 attributes Rifle damage and AR damage. Both were at 5% originally and I re-calibrated Rifle damage and was capped at 10% (100% re-calibration score)

    2. Alps Gloves with 21500 Armour (89% of max drop) with 1 mod slot and with1 attribute LMG damage. This was at 5% and I re-calibrated to 11% (6% increase) yet re-calibration score is only 20%. So if 6% = 20% then (maths) I should be able to raise the 6% 5 more times but max drop is 12% (where is the logic?).

    3. Badger Gloves with 21600 Armour (90% of max drop) with no mod slots and with 3 attributes 588 Armour Re-gen (3575 max), AR Damage 4% and LMG Damage 4%. So based on your input any re-calibration of assigned weapon damage should be leass than the 10% achieved on the 2 attribute Overlord gloves. BUT - Re-calibration of LMG damage to 11% was achieved to get a 100% recalibration score.

    Inconsistent and illogical.

My 3 attribute item with no mods slots was able to get to 11% assigned weapon damage for 100% calibration yet the 2 Attribute item with no mod slots was only able to get to 10% assigned weapon damage for 100% calibration.

Does the armour % play a role in this determination?????????

check out maximum attribute rolls tab maybe it will help you

maximum attribute rolls for a single attribute - this however requires the absolute minimum native armor roll (shown) and any additional attributes to roll at the lowest possible value. Columns shown cover all gear model variations.
