OP characters ruin the game! Reduce the hyper armours

I believe that recently the game has become unplayable to good players and that the only winners are those who exploit an overpowered move such as the raiders blinding ability. Personally, i think that hyper armour is overused now and is no longer a good character trait, its just OP. I think that only heavies should have hyper armour and that it should be like the earlier build of the shugoki's armour. That way assassin types don't become obsolete due to their main weapon being speed and the ability to stagger. Many characters have been made useless due to the overuse of hyper armour. Please either remove it from non-heavies or debuff it.

I agree that hyper armor is overpowered and that too many heroes have it. It is a broken mechanic that defeats the point of having a game that is supposed to emphasize swordsmanship (blocking, parrying, etc). No one should be able to trigger some form of invincible God Mode attack, making themselves completely un-phased to a preemptive strike, that is just a ridiculous concept to begin with. This game is becoming more and more gimmicky. It used to feel a little more like Bushido Blade, but now it's slowly turning into some kind of button mashing, rock/paper/scissors fighting game...especially with some of the new feats and Insta-Kill attacks.

I'm all for only heavies are allowed to use hyper armour to trade. And then only when they are swinging, not right after 100-200 ms.

I've seen other folks say that it's the early start-up Hyper Armor that causes the most problem. Does this line up with your experience?

How About giving heavies HA property in General? This would make them able to be used for trading. Still wouldn:t make them useable outside of that tho.

Hyper armor is good for the game in small doses, in large doses like with Hitokiri and Zerker, it makes it so attacking is unwise, even parrying is unwise against them, you just sit back and block, the odd back dodge or roll until their stamina gets low.

It's a bad design. Even Raider's is bordering on too much HA, especially since he doesn't even need it. He already has enough offensive pressure with a 400 ms stunning tap that blinds and can be soft feinted in to from a neutral unblockable.

Too much HA breaks the whole fighting mechanics, it's like fighting someone with constant revenge. Every hero that has a lot of HA is absolutely hated, even the ones who aren't great, like Shugoki. WL and HL have just a touch of it, and it works, it initiates late into the animation so it's not used as a crutch to be exploited.

Hyper armor should be added on to characters for a slight attack buff, not so that character can mash buttons without thinking and win. You can play Hitokiri and Zerker without reacting to anything the other player is doing, just keep spamming out those HA attacks.

Still, with Hitokiri it's not smart to do anything but block, unless he fully charges a heavy, then you can parry.

His neutral heavies deal 30 damage which is nothing for a heavy...
You're using a character based around dodge attacks though, you can keep your dodge going until you find an opening, his neutral heavy only doing 30 damage isn't bad considering how fast it is, isn't it 700 ms?

It's a HA attack that's fast enough to trade on reaction. Compared to HL's HA neutral heavy it's way stronger, it does less damage but can be charged to throw off parry timings and has it's HA properties initiate almost instantly, halfway through HL's neutral heavy you can still light attack him out of it, even though most people just parry it.

Baiting hitokiri's are a bad idea, she can slightly delay it and mess up your parry attempt forcing you to eat 30 damage.

I'm just saying it's a terrible idea to try to bait hitokiri's for parries often,it is very unsafe.Just because you can do it a couple times doesn't make it safe nor worth it.
