The point here is that every single build or at least most revolve around Hard Hitting being on almost all armor pieces. And on gun mods as well. Instead of being able to build a diverse set of talents we feel compelled to have Hard Hitting on everything we can manage. We can make some really fun builds with an array of talents but if you take those into a raid, people are going to being wondering why your not melting an elites face off. I don't know that getting rid of dte is the answer but allowing for other builds to be viable would help. I'm talking about adding status effects to certain weapons. For example a bleed effect on shot guns, armor piercing on marksman rifles when making a body shot,etc. We have things like fire turrets and such I know but most people, especially when in a raid have revive hive and healing canister on because of the lack of med kits and revives that are imposed as cheap way to up the difficulty. There is status ammo in the game scattered about missions. But what if we had a support specialization that could produce these crates for other players like the npcs that set out those for enemy npcs. With the upcoming pts there's going to be some major changes coming. so maybe we just wait and see how it affects our builds and maybe we will be able to move from dte heavy builds.
