The state of the DZ in this game is the only facet that made me hesitate coming back, and why I had to stop playing the first one. The DZ seemed file in the first until they started "promoting confrontation" by doing things like making extractions stealable, etc. The DZ is supposed to be a dangerous place, and I had some of my favorite gaming ever with the mood and ambiance from running solo there. But in the end, as a solo player (I play at odd times and have only a few gaming friends), it's just too painful in the end.

Just the ability to extract without the risk of losing my gear would make a big difference. Really sucked to have max level squads just waiting around chopper pads, and getting instantly melted.

The mechanics of the system and Risk vs Reward is just much too skewed towards Rogues; especially given the propensity for most of them to be squads roaming for fewer numbered players. It's not even competitive at this point, it's just enabling bullying and griefing. The whole thing reminds me of the "diplomatic immunity" plot point from Lethal Weapon 2.

The funny thing, I recall actually waking up really early (here on the US west coast) just to roam the DZ a bit, which worked for a bit.

can we get a DZ without NPC in it and add secret tunnels for massive boxes for loot

So here's the thing. Division is touted as an MMO, and a lot of MMOs have this thing called a PvP Flag. i.e. if you want to conduct PvP you can flag yourself for it and you're fair game. That's all I suggested.

PvPer's could PvP until their eyes bleed, they could even play Conflict, though I'm unsure of how that works as I'll never touch it.

And PvEer's could avoid all of the griefing, ganks, stress, and just how un-fun the DZ is for them. Some of the NPC mobs are challenging enough without having to worry about some griefer with a min/max build melting you in seconds. You not only get annoyed with it really fast, but you also lose DZ rank as well, meaning all of those PvE focused DZ perks are wasted.

But the fact that I need to farm the Dark Zone for an Exotic LMG, along with completing projects, and challenges, etc. means I'll never get the Exotic LMG or complete those projects, because I'll continually be griefed to the point where I say **** the Dark Zone, and never go in anymore. Ergo, I'm missing out on part of the game environment, and missing out on an additional farm mechanic for gear.

If it won't change, then oh well. You'll never see me in any DZ.

If it will change, then awesome, I can enjoy 80% of the game instead of just 70% of it. Open World (70%) Dark Zone (10%) Conflict (10%) Raids (10%)

A flag on/off for pvp is a must have.

But we all know that is newer going to happen.

This was indeed a problem in Division .

And those bully's put the same DZ back in D2.

That's right, I had just walked through the door. What fun!

If they made some of the daily's PvE only mission in the dark zone I would probably take them.
