Now, before anyone replies with a 'Nuxia is already quite good', I play Nuxia a lot and can thing of some suggestions of how to change her a slight bit. It's hard to pull of heavies nowadays and Nuxia's traps are countered by light attacking after the signal has shown up on the little block thing.
In my personal opinion, I would think a tripping attack (Using Back Square or whatever PC and Xbox uses) would be quite a good addition into her arsenal. It would be some form of trap attack but does no damage. Twin Tiger Hook Swords were used for tripping too, so maybe a little attack that hooks around the opponent's ankles and tripping them up would be a nice and historically accurate decision. This could also combo into either a Side Heavy or a Top Light. Maybe even a 45 damage top light for being able to trip them up, as it would be a slower attack in her kit. This could also be used after a guardbreak as it is quite slow and can open up to a full light combo or a combo with a side heavy at the end for maximum punish. I say make this attack slow so that it can be punished if done wrong.
Also, maybe we can add in that is someone wants to attack after the trap signal is shown, make it so the trap punishes them, because Nuxia could easily counter it since the enemy would be in startup. This way, it forces the opponent to dodge or even roll out of combat entirely and can still punish Nuxia if she does not catch anyone off guard with it.
What I think would also be a good little benefit is a slight damage debuff on her lights, to make her less of a light spam character (It is really easy to do it, can easily win a fight with it), and would force the Nuxia player to use heavies in a fight. Along with this, I think some can agree that she could use a heavy for her deflect. What I propose is that if she can get off a heavy from deflect, it would be unblockable (Or not) and would act as a heavy finisher, throwing the opponent in the direction which corresponds with where the Nuxia player has attacked from.
In all honesty, this may make a better Nuxia overall, benefiting from historical use of the weapon (More than now), and attempts to add more diversity into her kit so that heavies can be used a lot more rather than light spam. I would like to see what people would say to this, as she is pretty good already if people are unaware of how the trap properly works. (She also is not used much I presume? I don't see many Nuxia players or people trying her out, that's why I think so). Hopefully the dev team for For Honor could see this, but chances are pretty low.
Or if these seem like a little too much, just go for the extra trip idea and the fact that her traps are too slow, so make them a bit faster, thanks!
