That's it I have had it with this game. You can't play TC more than 1 hour before it crashes the game. But the most upsetting is the stupid p2w leaderboards. I really looked forward to compete on that first. But then you guys thinks it's a good idea to have the new DLC tracks put in together with the original ones, so there are no way in he'll to compete on the leaderboard if you don't pay for the DLC . And now jump 2 months forward you are "giving" out 5 new tracks wich most of the players have to pay for, just because you imbeciles can't communicate to your community. But I guess ubi/redlynx look up to the mighty EA and want to become like they are.

I got fusion for free on ps4+ so not much to complain about, but yes it was somthing I hated about the game, (if you talking about the leaderboards).Originally Posted by LIONDEN1 Go to original post
I really don't care if you have to pay money for skins, like r6s. But if you must pay to play tracks so you can compete on the leaderboards is just stupid. (Even if the game was actually functional)
But like I said they must look up to EA, just a big silence and no communication on a site they even tell you to go on. And I quote....... WAIT, I was actually trying to look up how they say, go to this site but the game crashed for real. Good game can't even debate over a bad game if it just keeps crashing I guess. Lol
I'm out have a good day or night sir.
And no mods if you can't respond on post I don't want to lock this thread. I will be back when your game function and you actually communicate....... or say something different than "the team know this and are hard working" or the old classic "we are sorry (but really not as long we get paid)

Re the crashing, I would hope you can find some way to resolve that. Are you talking about the PC version? I have over 100 hours in that since launch and it's never crashed on me once. Which isn't to say you can't be having issues, I just wondered what you had tried to fix it.
Re the leaderboards, it's a valid complaint that they don't separate leaderboards by game and dlc, and by bike, e.g. why they released a joke bike without any leaderboard for it is baffling, but are you really competing anyway? Does it really matter to you if you're #1,000 or #5,000 or #10,000 or whatever? Unless you're a top 100 player does the total score really matter? And if you're a top 100 player I expect you're getting all the games content. The real competition on leaderboards is on individual tracks. That's where the skill is. That is not affected by dlc at all.
Kungen, good luck here friend. I made a thread about this few months ago, including the super easy fix for it, having separate leaderboards, one with and one without DLC/Track packs, solution coming directly from... Trials HD & Trials Evolution, have a look : https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...letely-useless
You'll be glad to know that according to Scruffy McMuffin and his buddy Lionden1, you, me and so many people in the playerbase don't exist. According to them, "people who care about leaderboards buy all the extra content anyway, so P2W leaderboards is a non-issue". Convenient, isn't it? They keep spreading that non-sense everywhere they go. And plus, "Fusion did it", you see! If Fusion did it, why question it, right? We all remember what a massive success Trials Fusion was, almost killing the series for good and losing most of the playerbase on the way. Ah, good times! By all means, Rising should follow its steps and make sure to repeat or amplify every single one of its mistakes!
No wonder Ubi decide to ruin it definitively with micro-transactions small packs of tracks. Why stop when you've got cult addicts defending your P2W and explaining to everyone why they're wrong thinking it's a problem? Good job guys, it's gonna be so exciting having 10 people left who can compete legit. Plus, who wants to climb up the ranks of a skill-based game because you've got better at the game? No one. What we all want is climb up ranks of a dead leaderboard because we paid so much extra money we are the only ones left active and not capped down on it. The wet dream of all Trials players, good and bad, it is known. Listen to the prophets.
I'm sure there'll be a good autopsy to make in future to teach new generations of game designers how to NOT treat your customers and playerbase. Maybe a book release? "How to turn your great game into the most despised cashgrab product on the market, by Redlynx". Future bestseller, with preface by Anba, Lionden and Mcmuffin if you buy the DLC Edition. Some chapters will erase themselves after a few months, but worry not, you can retrieve them all by sending only 5€ a month by paypal. Great deal!
For real, If they bring back a global leaderboards for the main 124 tracks, the one thing ALL players who own Rising (no exception) can engage in equally with and together, I'll come back. That's the Trials I bought at launch, and that's the Trials I wanna play. Same for most people on my uplay friends list who stopped for that very same reason. TC isn't an alternative either in Rising, so it's either they fix it, make carreer mode exciting again, or game will stay dead, and rightfully so. Their choice.
If they don't, can we at least have an edit of the Try again trailer lyrics to make it more accurate? Here is my suggestion :
"Pay again, pay again, all you need is pay again!"
"Pay again, pay again, stand up, get your wallet!"
"Pay again, pay again, No cash no gain, until everyone else is dead!"

Oh no, Mr, Hyperbole is back.
"Why stop when you've got cult addicts defending your P2W and explaining to everyone why they're wrong thinking it's a problem? Good job guys, it's gonna be so exciting having 10 people left who can compete legit."
LOL.
I paid for the DLC and I didn't get the top time on any track. But you told me it was P2W! I paid for the DLC and my overall leaderboard position is about the same as it was before. But you told me it was P2W! Again, does it really matter that much whether you are #1,249 or #3,512 or #8,621 or whatever? Really? Don't you try to beat times on individual tracks, i.e. where any additional spending is totally irrelevant?
Lionden, the question isn't what count or what doesn't count on leaderboards, the devs do what they want with that I agree with you, but to a condition : that's its applied equally to ALL to keep the game skill-based and chances equal for all. That's the core of Trials and any competition. A good leaderboard is one where ANYONE on it can potentially be the last or the first depending of how they perform. Anything else is non sense.Originally Posted by LIONDEN1 Go to original post
The game is in really rough state, and TC is nothing like Fusion, the community is small and potentially turned off by many issues already, why put the final nail in the coffin by breaking the premise of competing fairly with other players for so many of us? When solution is as simple as adding a filter option to see base-game leaderboards scores only? At the end of the day, no one wins.
- Non-DLC owners dont play the game anymore since no one like to "try again" if the game is rigged from the start
- DLC owners are artificially propulsed to the top of a dead unchallenged anymore leaderboard with much smaller playerbase sample than it was for first 3 months.
- And Redlynx/Ubi suits lose money by chasing away players when they should do opposite to keep the game alive and daily revenue (lootboxes, acorns, etc..) coming.
It's beyond stupid and all successful competitive games know not to screw with this. Rocket League never discriminated anyone in 5 years and owning the base game is still all you need to climb the ranks. Same for Trials HD and Trials Evolution, the two biggest successes to date. None of those games were broken as Rising is. There used to be a time where Redlynx leaked Trials HD full game on torrents to get people to play the game but turned off only leaderboards, knowing full well it was the key element to full enjoyment.
SourceThe pirated version of the game does not include support for leaderboards, said company CEO Tero Virtala, a crucial feature that is the "soul" of the game. Without it, he hoped users of the hacked version would want to upgrade to the legitimate copy once they began enjoying the game.
"That game relies really heavily on the server side – the leaderboards are the soul of the game. I don't know if it's helped, I'd assume so because even though the version that we put on the torrent networks wasn't the full version, it's the version of the game without the actual soul, without the leaderboards to play against other players."
So why are they now treating players who bought their game as they used to treat bootleggers 10 years ago, not giving them global leaderboards they can compete on fair terms? Isn't their a serious ****ing problem here? That was the point of my messages, but frankly, I don't care that much anymore. I love Trials but I'd rather play it than argue about stuff on forums. So I'll do like everyone else and stop caring, stop posting and move on, no worries. I just thought I'd try to call them to their senses instead of letting them kill the series for the worst reasons.
P2W doesn't mean you get an advantage on everyone else (aka getting top time on any track, the false equivalency you use). P2W means you're getting an advantage on everyone who doesn't pay for it.Originally Posted by Scruffy McGuffy Go to original post
And for Rising leaderboards, this is how it goes :
Players who buy the extra content get extra scores for the extra tracks. Said tracks and scores can't be acquired without paying. Meaning players who don't buy the extra content have no access to that extra score and are therefore capped down on the leaderboards and excluded from top ranks. Creating a competitive advantage/disadvantage that only money can resolve, aka P2W. I hope you get it now, I'm sure everyone else does and this is really not point of this thread, or the last one. "Mr Hyperbole" (sic) out.
Sigh. Everyone can still compete on global leaderboards, no "P2W", every track has one. This is not the same situation.Originally Posted by FR_Dam143 Go to original post
So if someone who bought dlc is #5,308 in the world and someone who didn't is #10,472, then the person at #5,308 has won.Originally Posted by FR_Dam143 Go to original post
Again, is that number really so important to you? Seems to me the intersection of players who care deeply about their leaderboard position and don't care enough about the game to buy the dlc is... you, and that's about all. Or do you have the dlc and you're white knighting? Also you have to actually go looking for that number in the game, so if you feel it's irrelevant you could just... not go looking for it. I realize that's not as good a solution as separate leaderboards for dlc (and while we're at it, per bike too), so by all means keep on fighting that fight with Ubi, but at least in the interim you could still enjoy the game and still compete fairly in the global leaderboards in every track you have.
Wow, really? PC version definitely crashes randomly for me (anywhere from the splash screen to starting a track) since the last update. There was the occasional crash before that, and of course it was an update or two before it didn't just crash every time you exited the game, but I'm surprised anyone with substantial playtime was entirely crash free.Originally Posted by Scruffy McGuffy Go to original post
