Personally I give up going to play other looter/shooter/RPG style games that gives good loot and lets you build for what you want, something this game does not do.Originally Posted by Ubi-RealDude Go to original post
this community has been asking for ages for build diversity , a better loot system, better recal station a optimization station and the rest, it's like the devs have their hands over their ears and are just screaming la la la la la not listening.
PS: the loot system and the RNG attached to it is way too restrictive and horrible and that's why iv'e gone back to a 5 year old game that does it better, (back on ESO for the foreseeable future)
eso does incredible with its loot and the fact that you can hunt down certain pieces in certain dungeons makes it very enjoyable, especially when you finally get them. the division devs are too proud to look for other examples to get ideas and instead the community is unhappy for their choices this is all their own doing. fact is people are just tired of it. i havent played in a week and im not gonna go back to it, just here to tell people to come to terms with it that these devs and publisher dont really care, theyve already got your money. ESO is a better product if you are looking for looting and good team synergy and each expansion has the right amount of content. i feel appreciated when being a tank and gettin all the aggro while stunning enemies. its a great feeling knowing your contribution led to victory especially on those veteran dungeons.Originally Posted by Sensible-Jack Go to original post
THE FACT THAT LOOT SUCKSOriginally Posted by Ubi-RealDude Go to original post
How many times do we need to tell you this?
Not to toot my own horn but the most upvoted topic lately and the one that keeps getting brought back into the limelight is my your loot is a dumpster fire topic, 76 upvotes last time I saw it. Your loot is so broken it makes the game totally unrewarding. Start talking about it. Start addressing it. Stop pretending it isn't a problem. GOD!
ESO definitely gives you that loot and progression fix. ESO has so many options, gear sets, specializations, etc... Kinda sad Division 2 lost my interest so quickly.Originally Posted by Sensible-Jack Go to original post

I'm happy people contributing to the thread...I don't think it will be that hard to fix the loot mechanics, but I think the whole notion of having a pool structure governing what attributes you can get is fundamentally in conflict with the idea of achieving optimized gear, and likely some unintended consequences on the statistical probability of seeing gear with two god roll attribute values. From a change management perspective, I don't see how you can teach a user community that learned to fully optimize gear in TD1 that not being able to do that in TD2 is a feature rather than a bug.
Good points OP, really do hope they start to listen to the community regarding loot. It is a punishing experience paired with pretty frequent nerfs/buffs/balance changes that keep this community in a flux of never getting progressed. The one point I'm against in your post is your source. Kotaku is a horrible place for articles that are very biased and usually pushing an agenda. I wouldnt trust a single word from them regardless if the rare article makes sense. Dont give them additional clicks, they need to just die out.
As long as this major problem isn't even mentioned in the SOTG i have ZERO hope that the devs are allowed to fix it. This delay mechanisms must be forced so high up that they can't even talk about it, yet it is probably the biggest reason people give up. The new "content", as in the gunner spec, is basically also just an effort to keep people playing as they got nothing else. For a game that is supposed to be a long time service i really wonder who they ever indented to make money on it after the initial purchase.Originally Posted by eckLub Go to original post
