    Buff to skills???

Anyone else feel like skills need a buff to add to build diversity? Right now it seems pointless to build tanking and healer builds due to lack of results. Kinda tired of only seeing dps builds in the game the being viable.

Easy to see the devs hate skills and only included them in the game as a legacy. This is why you get them slowly during the game and the tutorial barely deals with them. They are overly complicated to justify not being able to use most of them. They can be effective but take a lot of work to make them so and even then they won't get you through the RAID.

Skills are ok if you have 3000k skill power and you have strong mods (+50, + 100%, sometimes sacked 200%) dmg, heal, range and 10s cooldownon skills.

    ~10s-15s cooldown is essential.

But nobody want to use skills bcoz dps are healers at the same time and NPC have too little armor to survive before they hurt enough.

Now when there is a final table with dps results, people are fighting against the NPC and among themselves for the result. Healing or buffing classes or crowd control (DO set) are disadvantaged.

Skills also disabled in pvp. this is the only rpg game in which skills are turned off in pvp.

I do not have pretensions to Ubi and Massive that this is how it works because all these stupid ideas are a community work since The Division 1.

Enemy low armor - community request from TD1 (Massive accelerated the movement of the NPC to compensate for the lack of difficulty)
Skills disabled in pvp - community request from TD1 (community are angry if ppl died by skills not gunfire, this is not rpg mechanics).
Soloing everything - community request from TD1 - class diversity destroyed by community, healers and tanks no more viable if soloing still be a concept in this a game - not cooperative.

Most of the broken ideas come from the ideas of people who appeared in The Division from other FPS games and not RPGs.

How can you say that NPCs are bullet sponge since all RPG NPC games have bullet sponge enemies all over the world and that's what it's all about

Destiny 2, Anthem, Guild Wars, Wordl of Warcraft, WItcher 3 all of them - RPG = bullet sponge. This is GOOD but IF YOU ARE RPG player, not CS, COD, BF n00b.

They should not listen to all opinions but only selected ones. They should know how the game should work. Many fresh players do not know anything about RPG, console players.are wekaest point here.

IF you make RPG game, you must say bye bye to 80% gamers. This is truth. Many of them are casual from fps shoters. They nnot want to use any skills, they not know anything about crowd control or cover system. It's all bothering them to run and shoot with hip-fire at full speed.

They do not want a challenge, if they die from the NPC, they immediately write that the NPCs are too strong. That's why the game is so easy that no class is already needed, and the raid is simply done in such a way that bosses are often untouchable because players stack such damage that boss would not survive even 10s.

We have a generation of players who want to have everything easy, tons of loot falling like rain, fast engame in a month or less, exotic items to get for everyone, the most difficult level must also be affordable for every kid on the planet.

    - until the dps are able to heal - there is no point to have healers (game for solo players concept mistake)
    - until players have too much dmg or/and NPC have weak armor - there is no sense to have crowd control

NPC armor nerf - this are clear communnity concept from The Division 1. I not remember but around 1.3 patch they destroyed difficulty of NPC x3 or more. The same situation happens to TD2 but even far earlier.

To compensate for the difficulty in the game Massive accelerated the movement of NPCs that now aggressively attacked and flanked. The community has even destroyed this idea in The Division 2. Now there is neither armor nor speed.

When you listen stupid ppl for a few years you stay with the stupid game mechanics at the end.

    We live it hope.

Man, I can still see that wall of flames when a Firestarter kicked loose with a Chem launcher, obliterating entire waves of enemies.

And then they obliterated Radius mods...……

I'm relatively certain they will be reworked to their former glory - it's just going to take time is all.

I miss the days of division 1 where you could have 1 guy running a shield tanking, 1 guy running running a strong healer build, 1 guy running a heavy skill dps build and 1 guy running running a pure fire power dps build. The variety made the games replay ability high because it was nice working on various builds to play around with and master. My dps build in Div2 is tuned perfect with no reason to farm anymore gear so there’s no reason to play anymore.

Some skills can be amazing already at as low as 2000 skill power. Others are utter garbage however you spec them (looking at you shield, drone and firefly). Dual-skill builds are very effective when combined with skill-kill procced talents. Pulse can be effective as well. A Demolitionist + ED + CDR seeker build will kick arse in terms of damage output; raw DPS may be higher for red builds, but hitting targets behind cover with a set of mines and/or well-placed turret is not to be underestimated. I usually end up #1 in damage numbers when playing with randoms on challenging (strongholds, missions, etc.).

That said, skill power is a useless stat, it should either go or add a % to your skill output per skill point. And base output should be much lower so you cannot spec fully into DPS and still get massive heals/etc. That would create more build diversity.

Pretty much this. Add to that explosive builds, spotters, etc.

I guess we can hope some changes are coming.

Pazur is the only one who actually understands the situation, whereas the others here are just the idiots he is talking about.

I run a shield build just for the fun of it. It can't hold up to focus fire for more then a few seconds but you usually have time to get next to cover and put it away to get a shorter cool down. Also it can block that riot foam as well as drones and rc cars before it collapses. Though an AR high dps build is more efficient.
