Hello fellow viewers of this post, hear me out:
On high rank gear, most of the weapons are made only of steel.
I'd love to see some high rank weapons, that contain more (engraved/carved) wooden parts and some less straight handles, best example is raiders axe.
For example:
Take dark oak handles for any hero in the game, rap some up with a bit leather or even loose fabric and engrave the wood, giving it 3d design.
The blades will look the best with any dark steel/metal. I would'nt want them to look to colourful so its more about them being engraved aswell. Some fancy stuff like the sharp edge of the blade shaped like a skull or something (seen on one of jiang juns weapons aswell, for example). Still its more about a more 3d'ish look on the weapons.
This will mainly look good on vikings, but i can still imagine the other factions weapons looking good in this style.
Sorry for broke english and as im not familiar with art designing in video games, i don't know if this would be a bit to much work but its still something, i wanted to say since there are plenty options already, if you want that golden blades and rubys on your weapons but no oustanding different style.
