Yikes. I miss the old Redlynx who made working amazing games and didn't shake out their customers pockets at every opportunity.

If you can't obtain anymore acorns a different way then I am in all agreement that this is annoying too, disappointing.

If seasons on MP is a way to earn more then I would have no problem with this at all. But if it proves false then I am with you guys and gals for sure.

    Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah man, now i really miss the short tournaments in Fusion. They had hand-picked custom tracks from tc, they had acorns and xp as rewards randomly, i really liked taking part in those.

the mini tourneys is something that really needs to be added. It helped produce some good tracks from TC and gave more reason to build since we could make our own tourneys for acorns.

Agreed on mini tournaments. They were fun ways to compete against others, and earn acorns as well

You know what Ubisoft/Redlynx? I feel ripped of!

I did preorder the Gold Edition, with the promise that I get new Tracks and new Bikes.
From your German Product Page it reads:

"Der Erweiterungspass: Zugang zu zusätzlichen Motorrädern, Strecken und mehr."
    which translates to
"Season-Pass: Access to additional Motorbikes, Tracks and more"

    - first you dropped the price by 50% a few weeks after release
    - then you were terrible slow with fixing bugs and adding missing features
    - then you broke replays for some time (they should be fixed by now...)
    - then you launched the shopping cart which is somehow not included in the season-pass (what are those "additional Motorbikes" your product Page is talking about?)
    - and now you launch track packs for acorns, which are also not included in the season pass (ok, fine, only route 66 and crash&burn were promised, still sucks)

You know that this smells like the biggest scumbag cashgrab ever? Just nickel and dime the already small community? How about instead you show some goodwill and give us the track pack, at least the first, for free? You know, maybe as some kind of compensation for all the sh*t we as a community have to sit through while we hope that you fix this joke of a game...

Realy, I can't keep up a good word for you guys anymore, this track pack "scandal" was one bit too much of bad PR. Not that you guys will care, since you already got your (fullprice!) money from me...

They 100% intentionally didn't release the tracks and cart at the same time, or they would have. The reasons? Something happened to the tracks? Planned trick? Or they noticed something with the cart and acorn usage and decided to change their minds?

I'm probably talking out my ***. But the timing of everything is... strange.
This could actually be true. They have never mentioned track packs before launch or post-launch. Season 2 comes, they say there will be a track pack for free. Everyone spends their acorns on poses, outfit, gear, shopping cart or what ever and BAM now they say that track pack will actually cost acorns! If this wasn't a smart move, just a silly mistake, what if we just ask for compensation? They lied to us, they tricked us, it's not fair. Everything would've been alright if they told us this before launch, because you can get over 300 acorns from career by just doing contracts/squirrels and we'd have surely not spent them anywhere if we knew track packs for acorns would be a thing.

Or it could actually be that they made a mistake, and it was an accident...

Paying(Acorns) for a shortcut to some cosmetics is one thing, but bikes and tracks should just be sold as their own DLC and not Acorn transactions.

Unless they add repeatable content that gives acorns (multiplayer / contests / tournaments like Fusion / Uplay challenges etc).

Yes you can get Acorns from playing the game 1-time content, but they'll stop at some point.

Also with all the problems with Coins and Missing Crates, or gear resetting, makes buying some virtual currency like Acorns a bit less solid, who's to say they won't glitch out.

Please fix the currency/crates/cosmetic side of things before offering new stuff beside the already sold Sunburn DLC.

My problem with this whole message that you can get free acorns by playing in-game is the fact that we were NEVER told that acorns would eventually be used to purchase tracks. I have lost all respect at this point with Redlynx. As far as I am concerned the consideration about the community died with the original Redlynx forums.
