From memory most of the rework suggestions came from here. For overall game balance and general game additions it's more 60/40. 40 being this forum. And 60 from reddit.Originally Posted by rottmeister Go to original post
What you choose to call your alternate version of reality is irelevant. The actual reality is these things were requested by people on this forum and they were eventually implemented into the game.Originally Posted by Illyrian_King Go to original post
To anyone that's been here long enough it's clearly obvious that they DO listen to community requests and feedback. You're either in denial or blind to not see that over 70% of the current version of For Honor is a direct response to community feedback and requests.
The problem isn't that they don't listen to every single tiny little rant that gets vomitted onto this forum or Reddit. The real problem is that the devs keep changing their minds as to what they want and thus this changes what feedback they take in and what feedback they ignore.
It's this bipolar trait that's frustrating for us as the community because we frequently don't know what exactly the devs want to achieve with their latest changes.
I trust Raime's assessment. He stays up to date on both Reddit and this forum. My primary experience has been from this forum.Originally Posted by rottmeister Go to original post
I can't remember the specifics of the Nuxia change without looking it up but yours sounds like it's correct. I might give you the Lightsabers as that is something the devs probably might have done anyway but they only did it for this year's May the 4th for the very first time. Community videos of what For Honor would look like with lightsabers pre-emted this event by about a year and a half plus the co-lead dev at the time, Damien Kieken, mentioned once in a Den that he liked those videos and that it's cool to see the concept of "For Honor with lightsabers".
The modes were temporary but they still came from requests by the community and this forum. Without those requests we would never have gotten those specific modes.
A metaphor for you: Our opinions are like seeds to the devs. Everyone seems to have them, and are spreading them out. Not all seeds can germinate since some are bad seeds, but some are good and will. If a germinated seed receives constant water and nutrients it will grow, and the higher it grows, the higher it will end up on the devs priority list, which they manage with probably very limited resources...Originally Posted by TheUberDome Go to original post

Guess you should seriously overthink some points dude.
Everything imaginable was already requested at the forum, even before release. But most things didn't get implemented even 1 year post-release, until some mess hit the surface and wasn't denyable or ignorable anymore. Early example would be the parry changes. Parrying was flawed (and still kinda is), and still it took them 5 Seasons post launch, to disable guaranteed gb and heavy after heavy parry ... most simplistic stuff. Not even to mention, how many better ideas were overflowing the forums for more then a year, and didn't get touched at all.
That's exactly the point, when things become "obvious" and undeniable, as I said. So I don't get how you don't come to understand.
Everything imaginable has been requested at the forum, and if something gets realised 1 year later, people like you come up and say "they listened the Community". This is still a service game, the whole principe bases on adding stuff over time. And many things like the afk kick and quit penalty are no-brainers, since almost every other comparable game has that features. Believe it or not, developers of all kinds always try to adapt successful concepts for their own products.
You specifically mentioned Tournaments ... how does it come, we get a Spectator Mode, which is an integral part of Tournaments, about 2 years later? Even pre-launch there were more Community requests for a Spec Mode, then for Tournaments.
