Just Dance 2020 (and even 2021)
I see that the Just Dance 2020 website is now available at https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/just-dance-2020/
This year's release is better than the last. The first 10 tracks overall make a better impression (since 2019 included a couple of HUH? dances). The website seems to be working right away. I already see a preorder option.
The fan kit and birthday contests are cool new additions.
So far, the song selection, coaches, backgrounds, and demos are two thumbs up from me. I'm glad to see another Blackpink quartet.
I have a few suggestions moving forward. Maybe it's too late to make changes or additions for 2020, but how about 2021?
I have an idea for a new type of seated dance. Imagine river rafting on a round raft seating 12 people in 6 pairs (hexagonal structure). The "camera" would be looking from the seats opposite to a pair of seated dancers. The background would appear to spin slowly on occasion (really, the raft spins, but the camera and dacers are fixed on the raft). At an amusement park, it can be a great experience, wondering who will get splashed, passing under waterfalls, etc. I wonder if it could be a seated dance. Not sure what kind of song would work with it.
Scoring consistency. What I mean is, no matter which platform or mode of game play I choose, there are always a handful of dances where it seems too easy to score perfects, and there are always a handful (or more) dances where the scoring seems much harder than other dances. For example, sometimes I hit 13,000 on a dance with Kinect on my first try, and as I learn the dance better I realize that I had been making little mistakes that it could have looked for and picked up on. But then on another dance, I'm struggling with X's or OK's on a few moves, but when I finally figure out how to do them right sometimes it turns out to be a seemingly small reason.
Sometimes I start to dislike a song that I used to love just because the scoring is more frustrating than I'm used to with other dances. But on the other side, sometimes I come to enjoy a dance that I didn't really care for in the beginning just because I seem to score well on the song.
It would aslo be great if scoring were more consistent across the platforms. First of all, the songs that are easiest on one platform or mode of game play are often the hardest on other platforms and vice-versa. The first page of the leaderboard is often filled with dancers who used the same platform or mode of game play. If the song that comes up isn't friendly to your platform or mode of game play, it's easy to feel like you have no chance on the WDF.
New World Dance Floor experience? The dance floor changed considerably from 2015 to 2017, but since 2017 it has been very similar each year. I like Song Votes and Classic Tournaments because I can see several scores from different players. To me, "dance floor" means seeing a lot of other players. Maybe there is some other way that you can feel like you're dancing with many other people. It seems that the Just Dance team has been working on the WDF experience. Mabye it could use a visual overhaul, too, and maybe some new type of experiences.
Coop mode. If I read it correctly, it looks like coop mode is back. In 2016 and 2017, it seemed like the more dancers you had, the better you could score. I couldn't get all 10 gems on even the easiest dance until I finally persuaded 3 other players to try it out; we needed 4 players to get that 10th gem. But if you just have two players, it seems like you should still benefit from the full experience and have some means of hitting a competitive score. I hope this has changed, or eventually will.
And what if you don't have anyone to dance with at home? It would be cool if you could dance with a friend online in coop mode (or even in other ways)... Though maybe this extra online activity would cause WDF or other online complications? If so, I'm in favor of whatever provides the best WDF experience.
I've tried Kinect, PS camera, PS move, Switch, Wii U, and using a phone. (I'm predominantly a Kinect player, trying the others just enough to compare experiences.) I'm worried that Kinect seems to becoming outdated, PS camera doesn't seem to work as well, and everything else seems largely one-handed. I really wish you could find an economical way to bring the full-body scoring experience to all platforms, especially if it could result in consistent scoring and connectivity across the platforms.
Thanks for considering. I love Just Dance. :-)

Game Idea for 2021
So I have this idea that Just dance could maybe make for a separate just dance game, like it wouldn't be the actual just dance 2021 release but a smaller version. Since TikTok has become so relevant and influential this year, they should make a Just Dance 2021 TikTok version that contains all of the biggest TikTok Dances. However, most of the dances are only about 15s long so instead of having one song per dance, they could make 12 separate dance mashups for each month of the year. So they would have a TikTok dance mashup for the month of January and it would be a remix of all of the biggest TikTok dances of January in one thing. That way, they can use many TikTok dances while only keeping the relevant parts of the song. For example, the April remix could contain "Splash", "Captain Hook", "Party Girl", "Rockin Robin", etc... Also, it would be really cool if they could showcase some of the creators who came up with the dance. Like they could mention their username at the beginning OR even have them be the person doing the dance on the screen. I just think that would be really cool and nice for the creators. I also know that a lot of people especially young people would like this cause most of them already know the dances and enjoy doing them. It's a little bit different than the normal game but I think it would really work out especially if Charli and Dixie could promote it (which I'm sure they will).
