I'm very afraid now... is this the breaking of the Seventh Seal and a sign of the end times?Originally Posted by Kwoung Go to original post
It may just be my perception, but I feel like Hammish really wants to address some things, but they are not letting him. He also looks really uncomfortable to me lately, like he wants to talk about something important, but can't and knows his audience wants a lot more info than he can give and still keep his job.Originally Posted by Diedel443 Go to original post
I would still like to see them be considerably more honest about their reasons. Case in point today, the generic mod stacking, it was unintended and makes a character unbalanced or something to that effect. Well, since I am pretty sure you can stack weapon damage with level 480-500 mods even higher than you could ever achieve with level 19 generic mods, how does this even make sense? Yes, while it would take multiple sacrifices to the RNG gods to get those high level mods and the slots to put them in, they do exist and it is possible, So what is the real reason and why are we are not being told?
It was nice they finally fixed the battery icons though, as I reported that bug exactly one day into the first launch of the PTS, since it was such a glaring simple bug. I went to put some of all those drone batteries I was looting into my drone, only to find out I didn't actually have any batteries for my drone... ROFL.
Also, those clips from E3, I hope that wasn't indicative of their turnout. It looked like almost no one was there and the clapping was rather muffled or almost non-existent. I watched a few other game companies presentations, and they were showing/panning the auditorium just packed with fans who were super excited about those games, and the clapping and cheering literally drowned out the speakers, who had to wait for it to subside. I hope Ubi had those moments as well, because the clips they led into the SOTG with today, sure didn't show it or inspire confidence. Even Terry who they mentioned was all pumped up, didn't really seem like he meant or believed it either, although the free cookies sounded nice.
More vague and unfounded accusations. Even if they nerf the game, who cares if it makes for a better game. The SotG actually proves that they're listening and trying to find ways to improve things. For instance they simplified gear mods (going from 6 to 3 categories) and buffed high end gear mods to make up for generic mods being used in a way that wasn't intended. They're looking into the bullet registration issue and even the DZ Cover issue. So saying they're not listening and actually doing the opposite of what they say is just a lie.Originally Posted by hyper---sniper Go to original post
There are two things at play here. First, I think some of that footage was from the rehearsal because if you watched the live stream those seats that seemed empty were filled. Second, Terry is a terrible representative and NOT someone who should ever be allowed on stage or in front of a camera. He's just about the worst presenter I've seen (with the exception of dev from Bloodlines 2 that looked like he was going to have a heart attack on stage during his game's presentation).Originally Posted by Kwoung Go to original post
According to what was said in SotG, the believe it's only in the shooting range but investigating if it's also in the game world as well. So they're listening to the people saying it's also happening in the game world and looking into it while still trying to track down the cause of the shooting range confirmed bug.Originally Posted by Anubis-Solitus Go to original post
Good to know, I hope they track it down.Originally Posted by DarkKnight27us Go to original post
I already knew about the mods since I tend to read the patch notes, but agree (third time!) it is a great move. It goes a long ways towards cutting down on the RNG in at least one bit of the game, and I hope the other teams follow suit in future patches.Originally Posted by DarkKnight27us Go to original post
In case some haven't looked, there are also high end purple mods (up to 489?) that only have 2 stats on them, so you can roll stuff like +5 AR DMG AND +2-3 AWD on a single mod as far as I can tell. These are even more powerful than the generics they removed, as you can achieve previous or better results with less mod slots, even if they have to be red slots.
